Arthmoor
The spoiler tags in file postings are not working properly:http://img834.imageshack.us/img834/1460/spoilerss.jpg I think this changed during the update to the new layout.

Thandal
Confirming that the OP is correct. The [ spoiler ] tag is not working in the Files Area. Well, it's "sort of" working... The tag is being converted into "SPOILER:", and the text that follows is made a different, hard-to-see color that almost, but doesn't quite, match the background. But it isn't being properly hidden and can be read with a little effort.
Tchos
This is still a problem. The spoiler text is still readable in comments viewed from the files area, as in the picture in the OP, since the two shades of grey are not the same. It's dark, so some monitors might not show it, but on mine it's quite visible. The same comments viewed though the forum interface show the spoilers in a hidden block. Other things that don't work in the files area, but do work in the forum, are italics, numbered lists, code blocks, and URLs (if the URL contains a slash character [/] at the end, which is usually not necessary, but it's how it displays in the address bar of web browsers, and people often copy and paste URLs from there). Treplos
Sorry to necro this thread but the problem is still there in http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/.Spoiler tags are still borked (as per the original post here) in mod description and comments. I intend primarily to use them to hide "walls of text", unless there is a better option? Any ideas? Edited October 5, 2013 by Treplos
Thandal
@Treplos; Unlike in the Forums, the spoiler tag never worked to hide walls o' text in the Files (mods) areas. [Edit: Well, it hasn't worked that way for at least the past two years.] Even when it was working "better", it just tried to make the text colour match the background. This is a result of the way IPBoards implements the option, so unlikely to be changed any time soon. Edited October 6, 2013 by Thandal Modified overly inclusive statement. Treplos
I see. Ty for your reply btw. Is there a way to hide large walls of text? I have an extensive list of text/changes in my mods and it would be nice to be able to tidy things up, just for easier readability for the users. A spoiler button to hide/show text would have been stellar. Does files/mod areas support any way to do so? pStyl3
You could use Pastebin and link to the specific "walls of text". Probably not "the best" option .. but an option. :) Edited October 6, 2013 by pStyl3
Thandal
There is no way to hide text in the Description section of the Files area If you really have that much more information to provide to the players, what about creating a seperate "Supplement" text document as an additonal download, and refer to it in the Description itself? Alternatively, you could craete a "Discussion" topic linked to your mod, and put that info in the first post. "Spoiler" tags work fine in the Forums. I was hoping for a formatted list that could be hidden ;P There is no way to hide text in the Description section of the Files area If you really have that much more information to provide to the players, what about creating a seperate "Supplement" text document as an additonal download, and refer to it in the Description itself? Maybe a formatted word file. Thanks you 2 for your replies. Edited October 6, 2013 by Treplos
