LoL at the video, really funny but what isnt very funny is the comment section under it, Northamericans talking shlt about EU with ignorance as the base of their affirmations is one of the reasons many Europeans feel superior to Northamericans.

 

Really? You think the EU is so inscrutable that we ignorant Americans / Canadians cannot possibly fathom it's workings? Unwarranted arrogant Hubris is always droll.

 

Stupidity have nothing to do with nationality i was saying WHY many Erupeans feel superior, and to some degree you, missing the point by far, are actually proving im right.

The "I know nothing about the topic but im no idiot so im obviously right" is not a valid argument sorry, and no it dsnt matter how many ppl in youtube comments use it, a popular lie is still a lie.

Well, all I can say, and it took me 2 weeks of pondering whether I should actually say something or not inside here but the posts just kept on coming, is that me, living in the middle of Germany myself right now, I'm really not seeing even a remote relation between the "facts" presented inside this topic or on other websites/in news articles/media outlets/etc. and the actual "reality" around me.

 

Might I ask an honest question what "other" Europe/Germany it is you're seeing? It's not the one I'm living in, that much is sure. So I'm honestly curious here where all this unreal facts presenting is coming from? I mean, it couldn't be any further away from the truth around me, so I'm honestly stumped as to where it's originating from.

 

 

Yes, we may have our problems, not the least of which also caused by the recent rise in immigration, and yes, most of the other EU members are letting Germany down big time in this, it's almost like we're stemming it all alone here, but we're actually still doing remarkably fine with all this, and nothing really major or of larger concern has ever happened so far that I could tell of. We could stem the entire flood of immigration in our country alone, if we had to, and would still be doing remarkably fine afterwards. Politicians are just trying their best to make us not have to.

 

We do have some little niche groups of right wing extremists here, again supported in their beliefs by the dissatisfaction of a lot of others with how things are currently handled around this, but they're still only a niche group and not even remotely as huge in percentage as for example in the US or other countries, or at least they're not "perceived" as such. They're not "the people" as much as they'd like to make us (themselves?) believe, not even remotely a significant enough part of it. Germany, by and large, learned from the mistakes that happened before the war and will not allow it to happen again. The other countries though, by all we see, not so much.

 

I'm always reading in shock what is presented inside here as facts, or linked to from other sources, then I do a check with reality and... well, it doesn't match, and I'm relieved again. But I'm still wondering, where does it even come from to begin with? How can the outside perception of us be so entirely wrong compared to what we see from the inside? Anybody enlighten me?

You are the only one dealing with the youtube commenters. One should actually read what I wrote, not a word about the comments on youtube. My posts pertained to what you wrote in forum. Why third party comments have any relevance to the content of the video is beyond me, especially since not one of the comments were made here.

You are attempting association by inference, when you find my post that affirms or acknowledges the youtuber comments or even agrees with the premise of the video....post the quote.

Shockingly enough most of the " EU rioting", "EU in flames", "EU natives throw to the ocean and drown by immigrats" comes from conspiracy theorists that have never lived in EU and still are belived by some to be good source of news about EU; I know im can be a bit agreesive debating this topic but trhe disconnection of some ppl with reality makes me angry, i have a window close to me and EU is not in flames right now.

 

PS Aurielius im done with you, im not even going to keep reading your posts, im sure you have no real interest in adding anything relevant to the topic you just trying to take me to your terrain, i was talking about youtube retarded comments (and internet in general) and how it affect the notion Europeans have of you when you reacted and now you try to conveniently forget that

Key to understanding all the lies about EU is a comment repeated in some of the conspiracy videos and treats "America is next" all the shlt that is being said lately is actually directed to USA citizens. I dont care at all about USA internal politics but if someone lies about EU i have to say he a lier i cant help it.

And dnt try to convince me those lies about EU are not a political maneuver i cant vote in USA elections anyway. lol

My uncle legally have a revolver and a shotgun, i have shoot then myself, really funny, im tired to see certain ppl that have never set foot on EU territory, saying you cant legally own fireguns on Europe and if you do you are treated like a animal, im tired of those lies not because of political BS but because of it colliding with reality. Some ppl try to spread their unreal fantasies about how is Europe without knowing the least about it.

Im talking about firearms now because some ppl tried to use Europe to scare USA a few years ago and the lies where awesome... obviously followed by "America is next"

And now again certain ppl who are actually aiming at USA citizens is talking shlt about EU... the difference is that this time instead of firearms control policies, or other BS the horrible thing that is destroying Europe is immigration, yeah, sure.

Aliens threatening Earth are as believable as European natives being thrown out of their lands in a war with immigrants lol

My uncle legally have a revolver and a shotgun, i have shoot then myself, really funny, im tired to see certain ppl that have never set foot on EU territory, saying you cant legally own fireguns on Europe and if you do you are treated like a animal, im tired of those lies not because of political BS but because of it colliding with reality. Some ppl try to spread their unreal fantasies about how is Europe without knowing the least about it.

Is English not your first language? As it seems to me you are having some comprehension issues..... Reading more into a thread that no one else sees......

 

Currently, the EU is experiencing a rapid influx of middle eastern "refugees"..... EU already has a selection of pretty much muslim communities. As it stands, they are not a significant percentage of the population, and don't really have the power to gain much societal/cultural change. However, as their population increases, that is subject to change. If things continue as they are, that change could come in the next ten years, at which point, they WILL have the power to influence elections, if not outright get their candidates into office. When that happens, there is going to be a cultural clash, as they try to form society into what THEY think it should be, and that isn't really going to go over well with the folks that have been living their for generations. Is it happening now? Not really. You get the occasional cultural violence, but, nothing earth-shattering. Will that change as well? That remains to be seen.

 

@Drake: How do the folks in Germany feel about their tax dollars going to rescue the woefully financially inept greeks?

Baring in mind the game is rigged. People will only do what most of us would do put in those circumstances. There are much larger players that are moving the pieces and we all mostly act accordingly. We all know this, because most of us would, again, probably do the same thing put in those circumstances...
