chucksteel
it's what happens when you create a flawed system with practically no moderation. :wallbash:

Purr4me
On Bethesda site. What's up with that?just bellow the search box in the upper right hand corner you see ( terms of service) and (View new Content), click that and look for things that might fit. basically whats going on is a contest of the will and minds of the masses over PC mods verses Console mods and the ownership of IP of these mods, rights of use and theft of those Rights of ownership. It is a disgusting display of childishness behavior on all parts, loss of human content <--feelings about all the above. Ratings at the moment are meaning less as they do not represent truth.give it about a month and things might cool down. currently. not getting involved with any of it. Staying right here on the nexus. No need for that type of mods any way, so that's my reason. kitty
HomicidalGrouse
Downvote fairies exist on all sites of any popularity. Bethesda's first mistake was including a rating system, and not a simple "like" system. If you give people the ability to "downvote" something, there will always be someone who does it out of spite. I challenge you to find a single video with over 1000 views on youtube that doesn't have a single dislike.
Jeoshua
I'm just saying... PC vs Console wars on the internet. We could all have forseen this. It's not like the best and brightest from both camps are somehow exclusively allowed to play this game. Anyone with an internet connection has the ability to get into this particular rally. If they don't even need to download to downrate a mod, that means they don't even need to actually have an opinion on the mod. They could just be a random from the internet with an axe to grind because "XBox Rulz, PC Droolz", or "Console peasants are scum". And you know I'm not making this up because there are actually concrete examples of all of that happening as we speak, all over this forum. To be fair, I've found videos with more views and no dislikes, though that didn't last forever.
zanity
You are obviously NEW to the Internet. Ever go to IMDB, and see what happens to films with a mostly 'black' cast. Or the fanboy game wars at Metacritic (tho I think they prohibited user reviews or delayed them till after a game release as a result). Nexus has tried to evolve to a sensible and mature system across time, but Beth.net ONLY cares about commercial benefit. However Nexus makes some pretty unforgiveable mistakes as well (allowing modders to deny read-only access to blackballed users is inexcusable, and encouraging modders to be 'drama queens' by allowing them trivial mechanisms to 'hide' previously published mods is counter-productive in the extreme). Beth.net wants to exploit the full-on 'energy' that comes from the console crowd. And this is largely an undisciplined MOB mentality that makes a VAST amount of money for the corporations that have the fashionable assets that the mob currently adores. Beth.net wants POP-STAR modders in every sense of the phrase. It won't be long before the most successful modders on Beth.new have agents. Do members of 'boy bands' cry about all those people who bad mouth them so vocally- NO, so long as their fan base is large and financially generous. Even if Beth.net cracked down on stolen content, the world of modding there would be NOTHING like the world of modding here. Beth.net is COMMERCIAL even if mods there are currently 'free'- and this makes all the difference. You are seeing posts in the forums here expressing 'outrage' at people who think modders should work "for free", and that's exactly the attitude Zenimax thinks can bring down sites like Nexus.
