Cars? hehehe now you're talking my language.

Probably my favorite Old Timer is the Lotus T-79 from 1978. Mario Andretti one his one and only Formula One World Championship in it and it dominated the 1978 season to a nearly unpredecedented degree. Nicknamed Black Beauty by the press, it was a total package, with a powerful V-8 engine, excellent grip and a the first ever true Ground Effects aerodynamic package. As the car pushes through the air, air under the car is accelerated while air over the top is deccelerated, causing a low pressure bubble under the car's belly-literaly hammering down positive air pressure from above and sucking it to the road like a magnet-and making it as sticky as gum in the corners.

Others I like? too many to list, but a few old classics I'm fond of:

Holden Torana A9X. For me the best sounding local car ever and best sounding muscle car of it's generation, the A9X was a small Australian muscle car of the late '70s designed to break Ford's Shelby backed stranglehold on Australia's racing efforts. To do this GM took the smallest frame available, the diminunative Torana hatchback, and their most powerful engine, a six litre V-8 of more than 400 horsepower. The resulting monster had a coleric nature. From the enraged sounding scream from the exhausts, wild, almost untamable tendancy to powerslide, and shear agression of styling, the mad A9X, paired up with sublimely talented driver Peter "peter perfect" Brock it proved an extremely formidible contender, albiet one to be treated like a wild horse. Though hardly the prettiest car ever, and extremely diffcult to control, it became one of the few Australian cars I would consider to be classic, if only because of the phenominaly good noise it made.

'Couldn't mention the sound without a clip-this one is a full hologation race car, it's been modified a bit, but is still about 80% stock and fully road-legal. Commentary is done by the man who drove it, Peter Brock.

An In-Car lap of Mario Anretti taking the ballistic but beautiful Lotus 79 around Anderstorp Sweden in 1978. For me this is possibly the best sounding car EVER made.

@mythicdawnmaster Well, Porsche and Mercedes are not very simple. If you never disassembled anything a bycicle would be good for a start. Or a small 50 ccm motorbike, but an older one, these new ones are more complicated than a car. It's like learning how to walk, you won't be running after 5 minutes, it takes time to learn.

And I'm sorry to hear about your ankle. I hope you'll get well soon.

@Vindekarr Nice, I'm not that much into racing cars, but those are really nice.

And these are my favourite cars:

Alfa Giulietta Spider

And Ford Taunus

When it comes to Alfas Giulietta Spider is my favourite.

Then there's Giulia, a newer version of Giulietta

And there is Montreal, it's more of a racing car, but I like the sound

And I like Alfa Spider a lot, it reminds me of Jaguar E-Type

And here's the E-Type for comparison

Spiders are awesome...I almost got one off Ebay for $700 back when I was a teenager. But...then I kinda though what the heck is wrong with it and how expensive it would be to fix :P

My favourite old time cars are 60s and 70s American muscle cars. Mustangs, Corvettes, Camaros  They were just so awesome looking.

My dad had one of these:

Never got to see it..he said it didn't look very nice and ran like crap lol.

My boyfriend's uncle has this:

He bought it old and beat to heck...then he totally rebuilt it. It's such a beauty ^_^ Haven't had the pleasure of a ride in it yet though.

I recently decided that an Audi Front would be my dream car. (Even if I have no hope of ever even seeing one)

I prefer older cars myself. Pre-1980. When it's done, I'll be driving a 74 Beetle. I like it because they've hardly changed the design since its inception, something most care manufacturers have failed to do.

@illiad86 Corvette and Camaro, nice ones. Corvette is more of a racing car, I usually don't like speed, but I like the car, it has great lines. Camaro is more of a car for long rides, cruising on old, curvy deserted roads, throw in a ZZ Top cassette and enjoy the ride. My first (and only) car is a Yugo, americans may remember that car as junk, but I like it. It falls apart but the engine is in perfect condition. Here's a pic of a Yugo:

@ub3rman123 My relative has that car, he's trying to restore it to the original state. He'll probably never succeed, the chasis broke and the engine support is broke as well. And the gears in the gearbox are destroyed. Too bad, it's a beautiful car.
