Erendin
Looked everywhere to see if this had been covered but didn't see anything. So will Skyrim feature movable, positionable light sources - candles, lanterns, etc. like in Morrowind? It's something that was lost in Oblivion and I really missed having it. I would spend ridiculous amounts of time in Morrowind repositioning lanterns and candles to illuminate my weapon collections, etc. I'm assuming it was dropped in Oblivion due to intricacies of the more sophisticated light effects, light sources, ambient light, etc. I've seen what i think are Morrowind-style blue candles in some of the preview vids, but not sure if they are moveable. Thx in advance to anybody who can 'enlighten' me. Sorry
Zinro
There probably are, since we have proper lighting this time around (for instance, there is a light spell you can "throw" and attach to walls using a staff - it probably exists as a regular spell as well). Of course, if they're absent, I'm willing to bet there'll be a mod that features them in no time :P
Tilarium
Forget moveable, I want exstinguishable.
JimboUK
It was possible in FO3 but Bethesda didn't use it for anything, there was a mod that gave you different colour light balls that you could move about. I hope there are lanterns that you can steal, I left most of Morrowind in the dark so I could build my huge light display in Balmora. Talking of building things, we need pillows too.
InuyashaFE
How about movable AND extinguishable?
VoraNoxstella
Considering one review mentioned smashing a lantern and igniting the oil, I'd imaging that they are movable and extinguishable. At least most might be. Braziers might not be.
Jupitus
For Fallout 3 you can use Real Time Settler to blueprint light sources such as fire barrels, console codes work as well, they can be repositioned using Real Time Settler or Feng Shui mods. For Oblivion you can use drop lit torches although the ones I use are temporary, might be able to change in the CS, also Tonas Mods Store sells working Lanterns that are moveable, never tried the console codes but that might be an option as well. Just saying if there is a will, there is a way. Edited November 8, 2011 by Jupitus
