GOD GOD MAN ARE YOU THAT DENSE??? Madman, I leave you alone with your thoughts for 24 hours and you fly off the handle. I see Abramul has tried twice to get you to see the light. THE CITY IS ON AN ISLAND...ABOVE WATER...GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEAD!!! I would explain the whole thing, but I have too much to do. Expect a FULL detailing of the city tomorrow evening. are you just not reading other posts before you post, or are you truly mad? By the way, quit with the Dwemer. They're awesome, but not for this application. Totally different thing, you'll see tomorrow.

Oh yeah, shadowace, welcome aboard. sharpen those scripting skills, because we need inventive scripters the most.

I saw "the Light", but explained how an Underwatercity could possibly been done since the "normal" City has already been done a few times already :D

Furthermore, i was trying to show of my skill of piecing together a Backstory out of absolutley nothing, for a Creation that is next to impossible.

Like a City underwater.

I'm not very good with the CS. I could push some Furniture around. I could build Rooms, Dungeons, well, the most basic things. Superweapons, Superenchantments.

When it comes to scripting, i dont know jack.

But i am guite good in fitting logical sounding sidestories in just about anywhere.

For cities floating in the Clouds, if you wanted to.

You could let the friggin Enterprise fly over your City. I could think of some Explanation for this that would sound feasable.

That being said, i cannot wait until your detailing. Maybe i could contribute one thing or to if there are some logical errors :D

Abramul, Ill take it! You can even design his inventory to mirror that of what you created.Anything to get another soul onboard.

Madman, you sound like the guy who could come up with the random side quests that every good citizen is willing to give in anormal city. Come up with a couple then let us know.

Cat, nice picture. But mine are going to take a little longer than expected. Same locale as previously specified, though.

How about Licks-His-Nose?

[bigshotspeech]I like the way you think, kid. You'll be going places, soon. Real soon, if ya play your cards right. Listen, kid, here's my card. Call me if you ever need an agent.[/bigshotspeech]

Anyway, I like the name. If Triforce-1 is down with it, I'll see if there's a place for ol' Licks-His-Nose in Dragon City.

The more unusual parts of his outfit (Morrowind-style fur helm, cloth gloves) don't really translate well. And the stuff he sold, while twice as useful as the stuff he bought, was high-capacity throwing weapons and parchment, which couldn't be more untranslatable if I'd known the changes they'd make ahead of time. However, he did have an energy barrier (I used Morrowind's Fire Shield mesh), which he might be installing in a vault or treasury.

As for why he moved...Throwing weapons and custom scrolls went out of style, and he needed money ('cause he had none). $Name hired him to improve security, which he's currently doing.

As for the barrier itself, if it were to be included, it wouldn't need a very complex mesh. A rectangle would probably suffice. Ideally, it would have an animated texture...if such are supported, and someone can tell me how to make it with the GIMP, I'd do that part myself...but a simple glowy, transparent texture would be adequate.

Course, all that's if you want him to have a backstory, which isn't really necessary.

(Wanders off in search of texturing walkthrough)

EDIT: (Wanders back) Forgot about Effect Shaders. Think they allow animated effects.

hey shadowace. Retexture like one or two ships (since they are all the same) so that I can place several of them to look like a fleet. In fact, just do one and post a picture so we can all see it. Speaking of pictures...
