Playable Dragon race request

Hi,

 

I am the author of Dragorian and Dranaugh Races Reworked (http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=38453) for Oblivion. This is a modified version of Dragorian and Dranaugh Races (http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=30457) by BlackStorm945 which in turn is based on resources from Anthro-Dragon (http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=30094) by DrakeTheDragon

 

SHORT DESCRIPTION OF MY MOD:

 

The aim of the mod was to provide the player with three reptilian races. Their abilities are more biological and less magical. They are not dragons but they resemble them. There is no fire breath ability as obviously of magical nature. I implemented new Camouflage ability that damages your fatigue. If you have any cloths or weapons (except for you claws) equipped or its raining the ability will be weakened or disabled. As you reach new levels the ability is getting stronger. The chameleon effect is activated/deactivated gradually.

 

All races have claws (not fists) that can be equiped by pressing button. Some claws are poisonous . Every time you equip them or strike with them they are being poisoned again. Poison is slow but last for very long. As you reach new levels the poison is getting stronger and eventually it will paralyse victims after some time.

 

I have implemented the Adrenaline rush ability that temporarily boosts your stats while damaging your fatigue. As you reach new levels the ability is getting stronger.

 

I also added slumber ability, which regenerates your health and in case of some races cures poisons and diseases after some time.

 

Some races have night vision. You can activate/deactivate night vision manually (via button). You can activate/deactivate night vision automatic mode. Night vision automatic mode automatically activates/deactivates night vision depending on the amount of light on player.

 

All three races have smell. Active smell means you probe the air when hitting button. You can activate/deactivate passive (automatic) smell. Passive smell probes air every 5 seconds. Smell depends on direction and strength of wind if there is one. You can learn the smell of individual NPCs.

 

Secondly I made quite realistic flight system. The flight has collision detection. Flying is a serious business. It damages your fatigue. The faster you fly (different animations and sound) the more quickly you get tired. You must be carefull when landing. If you land with high speed you crash and get damaged. Landing in water is for obvious reasons less risky. In order to start flying you must be running or falling.You can start flying while in water but it is more costly. While running forward in adrenaline rush you gain temporary water walking ability. While flying you always move forward. No strafing or flying backwards or hovering above ground. You can

ram target while flying knocking it down and inflicting damage. You can grab target in the air and drop it to its death, but it is costly in terms of fatigue. You can also glide. While gliding you donot loose fatigue but you slowly loose altitude. Gliding is slower than flying. You can start falling while high in air. You can fall till you touch ground (usually fatal experience).When flying/gliding/falling if you press right button you start rotate to right, if you press left button you start rotate to left Usefull when trying to stay in one area and watching it via free camera (while pressing 1st/3rd person button). When wind is blowing it affects the direction and speed of your movement when flying/gliding/falling depending on the strenght and direction of wind.

 

I also added a lock on target ability which forces you to turn in the direction of current target. The ability is added even if you play vanilla race.

 

There is also ability called sharp vision - if you press and hold activate (use) control and you aim at nothing with your crosshair or nothing is in range of your

crosshair you start zooming in if you press and hold the control again you start zooming out. Works only in 1st person view. If you press 1st/3rd person

control or aim at something with your crosshair and it is in range to activate it and you press the activate (use) control you reset your view to normal.

WHAT DO I HAVE ON MY MIND:

 

I want to implement something similar to the above in Skyrim and to show you it is sophisticated. I have some experience in scripting (especially when it comes to flight), but I have no idea about animations, meshes and textures. I would like to cooperate with someone who knows something about it and has enough time to do it. If you are such person please contact me.

Oh forgot to mention this thing. If we will get a Playable Dragon race unlike the storyline we will have to create a Dragon editor that will give our Custom Dovah a little Style. I would be a Dragon with Purple Markings and get a good Dovah name. Like Vulzoorsu or a Air Legend of Dark in translation.

Why not DRACONIANS? They're pretty similar to ARGONIANS,but Argonians are more like lizards,when the DRACONIANS are actual dragons.They can hold weapons and shields,they're tall,big,muscular,scaly,and handsome! O__O! - AND OFC,CLEVER.They are brilliant strategists,too.

First time I've met the Draconians was in the Dragonlance book series,it's my favorite.They have different kinds,for example,a Baaz.Different Draconians have different abilities,one of them can't fly,others can,one of them is a spellcaster,etc. :)

 

Allow our Draconian dude to start as the normal races start in game,with the Dragon attack at Helgen,but,allow our Draconian guy to transform in to a dragon whenever he wants.(make it so that casting that spell will use all of your current mana.And needs at least 150.)

Look, this mod is about the Skyrim dragons, not anthro races. If you want to make/support a mod for anthro creatures then you should find/start one specifically for that. We don't want this getting mixed up into a "New Race" mod, it's about taking the dragons that are already in Skyrim and making them playable. That's it for now. We'll probably add quests and other things later but that's after we/someone succeeds in actually making dragons playable, we're not going to mess around with new races.

 

This thread should be kept quiet until the Creation Kit comes out which should be extremely soon. Then we will have something properly constructive to talk about.

Oh man, I'd love nothing more than a playable dragon mod. Maybe even some race-specific quests could be added, such as allying yourself with Alduin, or attempting to follow Paarthurnax's code as an alternative to the Dovahkiin's main quest. OR you could try to overthrow both and set yourself up as the superior master of the voice, allowing the player to call upon other dovah to reign down fury upon civilizations. It would take a lot of work I assume, but this could be something great. Just getting the doavh race playable as it is would be awesome, however. Edited by wyvernix

Here.. ill post this... Solution Soved.. Its Blue Prints to a playable race.. Just think Divinity 2..

 

Who cares about the Race Screen heres a Sugestion...

 

 

 

Use the anthro dragon as the starting race type... BUT theres a difference... That one Greater power to that Anthro race.. nicked named.. True Dovakin

 

Greater Power: Dragon Form... Requirements... 200 Mana per use... So get your character to level 10 And you can use the greater power...When in Dragon form it adds 100+ HP, 50% hp regain. and 200 Base armor... Since the dragon CANT where armor...Magic Resistence of 30% (all magic) and improved Hand to hand combat to 50. ''Bite''... And the dragon CAN die... Farely easily too if out numbered, 5 bipeds vs 1 dragon...

 

Gift Powers: True Dovakin... Adds 150+ Both Stamina, health, 30+ to basic armor ratting and 25+ Hand to hand combat, 50% Magic & Health Regain, 10% to magic resistences (all magic) Noticed i focused on Dragon Trates... Here you are..

 

Or steal Mana Boosting Postions... The form will last until Disabled. The NPCS will Call you by the Dragon race name... Guards wont attack you on Sight untill you Do sio.. Or you make a script that the dragon can be attacked...

 

I was watching you guys for awhile So.. Heres my idea... Make the anthro Version of the black dragon (basic dragon) And when the Dragon Speaks the Shout YOu will hear it.. like Always... But the things that need to be done.. Attacks Bite etc...The Shouts are no problem since the Dragon will SAY the shout words... But heres another add on to the idea... Flight... If you start flying in the beginning your Stamina will drop... Since you have 100 Stanama at the beginning.. The longer you fly the more it Drains..It trains 5 stanima every 2 seconds. But when it gets to 0 You faceplant into the ground and it damages your health by 25% So thats my idea... But again When your planning to do an anthro form make sure That the feet and claws are really like claws... The anthro dragon CANT use weapons or armor.. (until you guys can figure out a way to)

 

As for fire breath.. Use this... It costs Macjika to use the Fire breath ice etc... Same in flight... 10-15-20 Magica a sec for the breaths...As for the equipment... It auto unequips your anthro form of all the armor/weapons... and can not be equipped until you take off dragon form.. Like bound armor... Also... Finishers.. we sure seen them :P Bitten and tossed away like a rag doll.. Or Eaten alive XD So.. like this idea? please.. i hate seeing shortcuts >> so here you are the blue prints to the Dragon race mod Have fun.

 

So... Tell me what you think... I played Istaria all my life So ik Dragons CAN be playable.... And they CAN fit into houses and dungons...

Now see how i did it? now Modders theres proof and its ballenced... You slain your 1st dragon and you know there a FUS ROH DAH. to take down.. So.. Here you go BLUE prinst...dragon playable race.. now stop argueing and use it >> Fix the camra..and the ability to not ride horses as a dragon? and aiming and your good...NO dont say its better for a biped mix.. Use this idea.. its more creative and as a Shapeshift power Use what Marrowind did.. Use a Climatic screenie Untyil someone figures out a transformation animation...Now... Dont bring up Hybrids this is about DOVAKIN not BIPEDKIN *dragon grumbles a curse word* Lazy Bipeds... *mumbles more and sicks my pet troll on the rejecters*
