Timmiii
Just came acros this mod 5 minutes ago, just the fact of hating batch files, I just added the 3 lines directly to the fallout4prefs.ini.Quicly zipping through Sanctuary Hills with all the settlers and junk, frame rate remains pretty much constant while panning around :D The god rays shimmer more, but to be honest, makes it looks a bit more realistic http://imgur.com/zO5LtVWWhat three lines, specifically? I would like to know also. The photo link is blank for me.
Linmor
Don't know if just pasting the three lines included in his mod file would be against the rules or not, so I will just link you to the mod page itself. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15211/? It's just some dev console commands put in a TXT file.
tartarsauce2
my computer can run everything on ultra and then gets performance problems and sometimes even lag in chaotic situationsI was wondering why you could have a no/zero performance hit ultra god-rays thing with barely any impact on visuals... well, it's good to know!and now I've downloaded them and will keep them in a special place so that even if it's removed and I don't know how to do it myself it's safe I remember a friend was playing with something like tesselation and he "hacked it" which means he played with settings and guessed at the numbers required for certain graphical datasets, can't remember what, but it was like so, with Crysis... also did yellow/green 3D before it was widespread (hipster cred I guess) but the 3D gave us headaches within an hour of play, but it was a real experience, I was actually impressed, unlike with the other variations on 3D, or even 3D in the sense of avatar (james cameron) - well avatar was good 3D but what buddy did was nearly equivalent in experience accepting the colour alterations being slightly offbut he's one guy, not a whole team, so...how does tesselation get implemented, for instance if a modder was to make a thing, what sorts of things would get impacted by tesselation more than other things?looking at it, it is kind of scummy actually to purposefully make something that can't be run very well by your own cards just to screw over others, it's like zebulba from star wars episode 1 :p

Yeap, that`s the mod. Doubt it`s against the rules as it`s 3 generic ini tweaks, this tweak is actually posted somewhere else on the internet in a giant "tweakers" guide where I ended up double checking if it`s doable. Deleted2530535User
The sad reality of this is AMD currently controls less than twenty percent of the marketshare in both desktop CPU and GPU markets and that number shrinks with each passing day. I actually did a paper on it last semester. I imagine it has less to do with NVIDIA shelling out direct cash assets to developers and more with the normal and acceptable practice of broad market appeal. Taking advantage of and linking in NVIDIA frameworks is substantially easier and more feasible for a development team than working on their own system that takes advantage of both sides' architecture, and at a lesser than before rate on the dominant market. I don't particularly care about the hysterical madness that drives people on the internet to argue with each other over which is objectively better (a subjective answer to begin with, entirely dependent on what you're using your hardware for) but generally NVIDIA cards are more supported because that's where the market is. If that displeases you then I don't know what to tell you, convince more people to buy AMD?
Kamuchi
From all the upgrades I can remember...I had amd`s 5780, then switched nvidia 580, then switched to amd`s 290x and most likely my next upgrade I will go nvidia again for the simplest fact: amd drivers are just crap, the latest radeon drivers drove me off the cliff for the next couple of upgrades, you have no control over it and it`s basically setting nerf galore :x Using 4 290x so my next upgrade will be the next generation cards as the idea of unlinking my tubing is giving me a nightmare when just thinking about it lol

A bit different from ini lines (unless I'm badly misinformed on how ini files work for FO4).
