Elder Scrolls 6 is waaaay off into the future, which is kind of exciting and terrifying at the same time, because Todd himself conveyed that he and his team are waiting for Technology to catch up with their vision of what they want to do in Elder Scrolls 6.

To me that's just crazy; i mean crazy in a good way, but also makes me wonder how advanced are they wanting wishing to go. *blinks* o___o

Then again this is Todd Howard and his team(s) so i guess that's normal at this point. xD

I really hope that means they are making a genuinely new engine this time. It is really time to make a proper modern engine that is well optimized and suitable for modern games. Their current tech is showing its age, it would be inexcusable to use it for TES VI. If they use the Creation Engine, or a spinoff of the Creation Engine I probably won't buy it.

That's my feeling as well, it does make sense that they would want to really go balls-to-the-wall crazy; i mean at this point they have the luxury to take their sweet time and make something truly amazing. :)

So i don't really care how long it takes them, as long as they raise the bar again like they've done with past Elder Scrolls titles. :D

Would it be threadjacking to ask someone to elaborate on why they have the luxury of time? Haven't kept up with the meta news at all.

They have two other projects in the works apparently. Those two projects should provide a nice buffer for them to really focus on making TES VI something special. Recently Bethesda Games Studios expanded, and made their studio a bit larger. So they have two teams now if I'm not mistaken (Todd Howard's team, and the other studio). So it can be (if I understand correctly) the other branch of BGS working on the those two other games, and Todd Howard's team working on TES VI.

They should at least make it runnable on the latest Intel HD chipset. Honesty a lot of older games run great on Intel HD, buuuuuuuut GTA5 - not so much. Average framerate 60 on minimum settings on Intel HD 4000.

Bethesda games won't ever run well on iGPUs unless they do two things.

1. Make a truly modern engine.

2. Learn how to optimize for a wide range of hardware. Grand Theft Auto V and Metal Gear Solid V are two great examples of how important good optimization is. Those games run well on just about anything, especially MGSV. Although, I really wouldn't recommend gaming on iGPUs. At least not with AAA titles. It really wears out the hardware.
