Bl00dSpatt3R
Every time I try to start NMM, it insists I don't have an ini file. Every time I install a mod, it directs to the mod enable instructions I've already completed. I've played the game quite a bit, launched with fallout4launcher and the fallout4.exe directly, made the necessary edits to the fallout4.ini, fallout4prefs.ini and added the fallout4custom.ini with the proper edits as well Nearly every mod I try to install refuses to work properly. CBBE won't work, WOTC won't work, putting on The Rebel armor makes my character's body vanish, the M4A1 I just installed is invisible..........and so on. Somehow, easy hacking and easy lockpicking work fine though. Any helpful tips from the community would be greatly appreciated. Thank You
AceGoober
The location where Fallout 4 is installed can, and has, made a difference to how the particular mod works with Fallout 4. Where is Fallout 4 installed to?

Bl00dSpatt3R
Any help would be greatly appreciated As it stands, I can't convince NMM that I do in fact have my .ini's
JimmyRJump
I also run my games from a secondary HD, but I've made a folder called Program Files (x86) on said drive.. Also, are you sure the ini files are in your Documents/My Games/Fallout4 location? Are the mods on the same drive than NMM or is NMM using virtual install? Bl00dSpatt3R
Thank you for respondingI appreciate every bit of help I can get Indeed, the ini files are in Documents / My Games / Fallout4 (on my secondary drive as well) Yes, NMM and everything associated is within the Games folder I created on my secondary drive I did this the same way with my crapped out computer that was not meeting the minimum requirements and everything worked with it Now, with my new computer, I can't get the mods to work right This is extremely frustrating, to say the least

Another thing you can try is download a few mods manually and then install those through NMM (hit the green "plus" sign, top left and in the window that opens navigate to the spot where you've downloaded the mod and select it. If the mods came in a RAR or ZIP file, don't worry as NMM can read/unpack those itself).
Bl00dSpatt3R
Well, my Operating System (Windows 10) gave me the option of where I wanted my downloads, documents, pictures, videos and such.......A storage location option. It is the "Documents" folder associated with my OS and not a folder I created myself Yes......every mod I installed has been installed the way you describe Thank you for trying to helpAny more ideas would be greatly appreciated
JimmyRJump
Last thing I can think of right off the cuff is to check and make sure your Fallout4Custom.ini and Fallout4Prefs.ini files have the "read only" box unticked. The Fallout4.ini should be set to "Read only". Also check where your plug-ins list is saved. Under normal circumstances that should be X:\Users\*your name*\AppData\Local\Fallout4 where "X" is the letter of the drive that has your OS. The AppData folder is set to invisible and needs to be made visible through hitting "Tools" in the top toolbar in Windows Explorer, then choosing "Folder Options" in the roll-out menu and then hitting the "View" tab in the small menu that opens. In that "View" tab, search for "Hidden files and folders" and mark the bullet in front of "Show hidden files, folders and drives". See to it that the three txt files (DLCList, loadorder and plugins) are set to "Read Only". I'm on Windows 7, so things might differ slightly under Win10... Bl00dSpatt3R
Well, I think I found the issue I feel so dumb right now For some stupid reason, when I created the Fallout4Custom.ini, I named it "Fallout4Custom.ini" I should've just named it "Fallout4Custom" After installing f4se, I realized what I did and renamed it Seems to be in good working order now Thanks for your effort and your patience
