Is it Possible? (Increased Followers Mod)

I haven't modded under any of the Gamebyro or Creation (Skyrim) engine games yet (I'm working on Iron Engine stuff now), but considering how similar Skyrim is to New Vegas in terms of functionality, is it possible that a simple mod that increases the number of followers you can have can be converted for usage in Skyrim? Maybe it's possible to increase the number of companions through .ini or in-game commands? I believe "iNumberActorsAllowedToFollowPlayer" usually controls the number of total followers. I'm not sure how it would need to be implemented...

Mod Version:

Through either method, has anyone tried this yet? And yeah, I know that it's hard to do stuff without the Construction Kit, but we're seeing what's good and what isn't. Any help would be cool, thanks.

I've been wondering this. I was hoping you're limit of followers was going to be based on Speechcraft or perks... I hate being limited to one :P

Anyways, there has been a lot of discussion but I haven't seen anyone discover a solution/code for increasing it yet. Waiting for the Construction Set...

I think this is just something nobody has tried yet. I doubt you need a different command to make it work. It's probable just a formatting issue in the .esp/.esm for Skyrim. That's why I brought this up.

"iNumberActorsAllowedToFollowPlayer"

Well why haven't you tried it to see?

Did you read the first post? I have no modding experience in the Gamebyro games. I have also tried doing various stuff on my end ranging from plopping in the mod in the slim hope that it works to putting the command in the .inis (methinks under [Gameplay] options), either way put, I don't know how to make it work. That's why I put the thread up.

I wish I know even how to start modding >_<"

But I'd love to have multiple companions with me. And allows easy squad commands.

Note, this might turn the game too easy though, with more allies on your side. Might need to make enemies stronger with more Health.

Im a modder and this is something Im capable of making. However, what Im going to try to do (ill post success results) is use that console command listed using the "SetGS" setting, or just "Set". It might work, it might not, and some people already have rudimentary modding tools. Id suggest someone with experiance/willing to try to work on it...I know that people have rigged up sets to change scripts. (which Im not gonna bother with, I barely scraped by with the official editor as it is xD)...will post success right after I try it. Then again, consider this, companions being hired might be based in dialogue and NOT have a master integer/variable controlling them. (IE, hiring people, it does something like "checkplayerhasfollower, if true, negative answer/dont join).

Odds are though, friend, you'll have to wait for TES. 2 Weeks after Fallout 3 for the tools, Id expect this would be within the timeframe of that (they were supposed to be ready on launch, I would say they'd be released/next week).

PS. Did I say TES? I meant creation kit
