Draco856
Karthspire Fort/House/Stronghold: This will/should tie in with the mod called "Improving the Blades" as that would be the only reason to build at the Karthspire, just outside of Sky Haven Temple. What I like about the Karthspire camp is that not only is it on an island, it also has several things that could be useful to anyone wanting to build something there, a forge, alchemy table, enchanter, it's got a river flowing through it with a few small, but deep pools before it continues on it's path. It's got everything a stronghold would need, everything except a mine or some kind of business for income. I'm thinking of something along the lines of the Great Houses of Morrowind, where when you advanced enough, they allowed you to build a home in a specified location. You'd supply the gold, they'd handle everything else. From the building to the hiring of workers and guards, etc. That's what I'm thinking could happen here. We'd buy the land as our right as Thane of which ever hold owns the land, we then develop it into our own personal stronghold. Requirements: Thane of HoldFriend of JarlEnough money to buy land (150,000 Gold seems about right for the size of the Karthspire area) Things We can build: WallsHouseHouses for Guards and WorkersFarmlandA ShopA vaultA storage room (To hide the entrance to Sky Haven Temple)An underground tunnel to secretly enter the Temple, opened only by a Blood Seal, so only a Dragonborn may open the tunnel entrance to prevent anyone who may discover it from entering the temple unnoticed. People We need to Hire: Workers for the various services as well as the building itselfGuards to protect the workers (These will be disguised Blades, the recruits from the Temple. They won't be allowed to use the Blade armor or Akaviri weapons while in plain sight)Merchants to move in to build revenueA few villagers just to give the area some life, only a few like 5 people, maybe a few kids, but not a lot, we're not building a settlement, just a stronghold. Aokami
I just saw this improving the bladeshttp://www.thenexusf...es/page__st__60 and i thought with this topic and the topic of a realistic overhaul of the game (cold, hunger, fighting....................)http://www.thenexusf..._1#entry3857083 and fusing the three of them together + battle overhaul (perks, abilities, aso...) would be epic The blades follow you as you are dragonborn... ulfric (if you killed him you will have to deal with his succesor) becomes your enemy, the empire becomes your enemy (thalmor faction), but factions from morrowind, hammerfell, cyrodil(civil war? + secret *order of oracles*, decendants of blades), (valenwood??? who would they support, are they less friendly to humans or to highelves?) will support youMostly highrock(bretons are aligned with highborn), elsweyr (are mostly unhappy with their lot in the rest of tamriel), cyrodil(civil war? - thalmor faction), summerset isles, (valenwood???) and blackmarsh (argonians want morrowind-lands)will become your enemy this leads to alloutwar in all of tamriel... but it slowly developes in skyrim after the mainquests... because the change created, creates more resistance... more friction... or to change the mainquest and become an enemy to both during the following of those waypoints (in the mainquest) You will at times be summoned to battlefields were entire troops fight against each other... and have to take over castles and forts and rebuild them and the thalmor/empire armies start besieging them, ulfric/successor faction in the northeastern side of skyrim, you in the western side and the empire will come from the south...Rather than making Ulric highking or side with the empire (ending the mainquests) i would have loved to see this open 'ending' Edited December 16, 2011 by Aokami
Draco856
Aokami, to be honest, your idea is all over the place, it's hard to separate what you are trying to convey. What I got from it is that you want the Blades to be the end-all faction, pretty much wiping the others out of existence, right? If this is what you want, I can tell you now, that the Reforging of the Blades mod won't be going this route, that's focusing solely on the Blades, it won't mess with anything in the Vanilla game other then relations with Dragons and the Greybeards. If this isn't your idea, and would like to get it across, could you put them in some kind of order? As it is now, I have no real clue on what you are saying, and it's likely just a language barrier. mrwhiskerson
i put a request for this kind of mod but its no as popular as yours-my idea was sunguard it has an Oubliette,Tower,Annex,Shrine, Muster ( barracks/ largely the living and eating quarters for the fort) it also has a forge/ smithy for the master of the for already, its perfect for a town to occuppie and has lots of secret little areas for quests and so on,i scouted round the ruin and its huge and lets say after you complete the campaign the storm clokes or imperials give you this as a reward/ thanks i think this mod would be perfect and ill bump this :) as long as it done Edited December 16, 2011 by mrwhiskerson

Hoekzema
Btw guys,NEVERWINTER NIGHTS 2 SPOILER!!!!!!! for the ones who can't wait to own their own castle and bring profit to their lands. In the game Neverwinter nights 2 there is this awesome option where you get to lead 'crossroads keep' basicly a castle you get after doing some quests. Possible modder should check it out for some sweet idea's perhaps. MOAR SPOILERS! You can:- collect resources for your town's smith's who will in return upgrade your castle guards armor.- build a wizards tower.- build a guards tower.- monestary/ church. But the best of this game is that your preparing your castle for a huge attack. and the better you do the higher the chances are that your castle will still be standing at the end. SPOILER ENDS HERE! Someone please do this!!!! :D:D:D:D:D!!I've been looking for another castle manager game for ages. for all I know Baldur's gate 2 and Neverwinter Nights 2 are the only games that have this. JMMcNemo
For my money, I don't want to turn Skyrim into an RTS game, so having to defend my territories from invaders doesn't appeal... but, taking ownership of abandoned dungeons/castles/keeps/houses/etc. WOULD be great, as there's many out there that would suit my tastes better than the houses that are for sale by default. darkheart8497
It really sounds nice but come on raise the price. People already complain about not having enough money drains for stuff, so 7k for a castle land? I would think 50K+ would be much better, and for upgrades to cost more. That way you actually have to work to get enough gold to make it happen
Draco856
Well, in my idea which is a few posts up, it would cost an initial 150k for the land, followed by another 150k for all the upgrades, workers, builders, etc. Then I had another idea, maybe another few thousand (2k - 5k) for upkeep, to keep the place in good repair.
