benjiv5
true my horse killed a normal dragon it was funny, however he got eaten by a frost dragon i was annoyed 1000 gold eaten.... i think bloods and normals need to be reinvented when you reach a certain level past that they are just weak, but elders and frosts are still fun. vertex23
I'm playing on Adept and although I'm no tank, I can only take two full breaths before I have to heal. I have to run away from Frost ones if I can't get into cover because they chew through your stamina way too fast. They're pretty challenging; I can't rambo into a dragon and just mindlessly slaughter the thing, but I think that's because of my class.
marharth
Normal dragons are weaker then gaints. Not sure if that makes sense or not.
PsYchotic666Joker
I agree that they are way too easy, i play on master and iv yet to even barely get hurt by any....they seem way to easy, once the editor comes out i'm so modding it myself to make them tons harder.....actually the WHOLE game is easy on master imo...not hard enough, really annoying i barely have a chellenge
Tumri
IDK what you guys are talking about with frosts being difficult. I'm guessing it's because I'm Nord but Frost Dragons are free kills to me. They hardly ever land a single attack on me since I just snipe them with a bow when they get close and once they start getting near melee range I switch to sword-n-board or dual wield and beat the crap out of their sides while they flop around without touching me. Frost Breath seems very weak since the one time I might miss an Unrelenting Force interrupt I hardly take more than a third of my health in damage. I have 200 stamina so I might just be unintentionally built to counter Frosts. I just got stamina so I could run without buying a horse lol(never owned one). BlackCompany
I too think they are weak. And too frequent. Dragons, not giants, should be the toughest things around. When a Dragon lands and fights a giant, and the giant wins without his health bar even having moved, I just...wow. Disappointment. Major Disappointment. On top of being tougher, I also think Dragons should be far more rare. 2 - 3 hrs might work for those players who will power through the main quest and then forget Skyrim for months if not forever. For some of us, however, Skyrim is a new hobby, not just a game. And for players like that, seeing a dragon more than once in a 4 - 6 hr session is truly too often. I would like to go a day without even seeing one, frankly. Add to the mystery and build that anticipation of a coming fight/ambush. I for one would like to make them far more scarce. Also, harder to beat. But as for the one-hit-kill breath weapon...if the game had kept the 'dodge roll' from Oblivion perhaps this would be viable. But it didn't. And turning and sprinting simply is not fast enough. So for that reason, I think the breath weapon stays the way it is. Which is fine since its pretty devastating that way. I do agree with another poster, however, that Dragons need to inspire fear in (cast fear on) most "regular" people around them. You know, as opposed to everyone rushing into combat with their Iron Daggers?
Illiad86
I'm playing on Adept, archer/thief Bosmer. They are pretty hard for me, few breaths of fire or ice and I get hurt pretty bad. Can't imagine how hard they would be on Master with my build o_O Just in general, this game has more Morrowind like difficulty IMO. Oblivion was far too easy, even on the hardest setting. Dorongan
i agree that dragons are way too common right now. literally, everytime i travel to Whiterun, dragon attacks there. one time there were 2 blood dragons circling above whiterun even, but one flew away after a while (btw, It was first time when i died to dragon's attack). however, i have some hard time beating dragons especially as character who is specialized in one-hander / board. And it annoys me greatly that im forced to use a bow or magic to get dragon land for me to beat the crap out of them.
Lachdonin
Generally i find that certian 'hard' enemies in TES games are too easy for my tastes... I remember back with Morrowind, bumping Dagoth Ur up to 3000 hp just so he put up a fight... Anyway, it'll be a simple fix when the Construction Kit is released. Kiyasumeni
Anyway, it'll be a simple fix when the Construction Kit is released. Amen to that. I'll be doubling all the attack damages and probably the size as well. I'll also be cutting the number of dragons in half. There will be so much tweaking to do...
