OGDA
Hello, I'm doing this tutorial:http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/Custom_shield_mesh and when I export an NIF-File from 3D Studio Max 2011 with the latest NIF-Plugin available ( http://sourceforge.net/projects/niftools/files/max_plugins/3.4/ ) it seems to have version 20.0.0.5. The Skyrim NIF-Files seem to have version 20.2.0.7. When I copy the NiTriStrips-Branch from my custom model into a existing shield model from Skyrim (number 11 in the tutorial), it won't work because the version differ. Which program/plugin do I have to use to create a model/NIF-File with the correct version? Is there a possibility to make it work in 3D SMAX? Kind regards
Ghogiel
Nothing yet. the new format is't even decoded. That has to happen way before we get exporter updates. Assuming someone is going to update the exporter at all.
OGDA
Well, if there is no way to do it yet, I can live with that Just wanted to make sure, I don't miss a solution ;-) Thank you
Midicow
Well, if there is no way to do it yet, I can live with that Just wanted to make sure, I don't miss a solution ;-) Thank youThe people over at nifscope are partially through the process of decoding, but a number of changes have them doing some head scratching. They'll have it settled eventually. RIght now there are tentative patches to load skyrim nifs already, but its crashy and buggy and missing features.
