iXenite
Price point i am looking at the Radeon 390. If the benchmarks look like what you're looking for and your rig supports it then I say go for it. Though if you need a second opinion, consider asking for advice from the AMD subreddit. People who have R9 390 may be able to offer some insight. https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/ P.S. I must ask, and forgive me if this comes across as rude or something, but why did you include the GTX 1070 and GTX 1080 at all if your price point was sitting around the R9 390? niphilim222
I recently upgraded my mobo. It supports both. http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131876&cm_re=amd_sli_crossfire-_-13-131-876-_-Product Edited July 12, 2016 by niphilim222
soupdragon1234
Whats the resolution of your monitor? You'll be rockin' with a 390 at 1080p I had one could max out Skyrim and whack an ENB on top without breaking sweat and you should be good for FO4. I only swapped it for a Fury X when I got a 3440x1440 ultrawide. The RX 480 is DX12 though so more future proof and lower power consumption. So check out some benchmarks if the performance is similar I'd go for one of those but I'd also wait a few weeks for the non-reference AIB versions to come out should be more overclockable. At the end of the day though to answer the original question the best video card is the best one you can afford. Personally I'd like four 1080's in SLI but my budget doesn't quite stretch that far lol.
niphilim222
1080P this time around, i will never buy from Saphire again. I lost one of my Furyx earlier this year. I gave the other to my Brother, not to long ago. So right now i am stuck with a gt 640 until the end of the month. TINMN
Agree a 1080 is to expensive right now, so i am looking at the 480, or a 390.https://www.amazon.ca/Radeon-Overclocked-512-bit-DisplayPort-Graphics/dp/B011D7AAA8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1468190094&sr=8-1&keywords=radeon+390Just under 400$ is another good bargain. I work with Graphics cards and PC Parts and can tell you the r9 390 is a gimick. It doesnt have the power to use 8GB of memory, in fact while benchmarking one a couple of days ago it was only using 3GB. hope this helps. If you can stretch a little more for a gtx 970 then that is a great card for simmilar money. Edited July 12, 2016 by TINMN

It depends entirely upon the game and the resolution of its textures most modern titles are pushing 4gb Vram and beyond. "If you can stretch a little more for a gtx 970 then that is a great card for simmilar money." What, with only 3.5 gb of fast Vram and 0.5gb of slow Ram? Its End of Line too, so in true Nvidia fashion expect new driver support to cease shortly. Its no faster than a 390 in benchmarks either, slightly slower on average. Anyone might think you were a shill.

I benchmark Graphics cards as part of my job and the 390 will never use more than 3GB of its Vram because it isnt capeable, Hense why its an 8GB card for under £300!the 970 will use all its memory at a faster rate and use a lot less power while doing it, So yeah it's a much better card for Similar money.
