Experienced voice actor offering his talents (for free)

I don't have any talent for skinning, modeling, or anything else dealing with mods, but what I can do is offer my services as a voice actor. I'm a male in his mid 20's, and can pull off a wide range of voices, from light and flamboyant, to deep and brooding. I can manage believable accents, and even a demonic-like voice.

I have years of (unofficial) experience, an excellent headset, moderate editing capabilities, and a love for the Elder Scrolls games.

Hell, I would pay YOU to let me do some voice acting for mods.

I don't have requirements for what kind of modding you're doing. Something silly, something serious, adult oriented, whatever. I'm down for anything.

If interested, email me at intimatecactuar@hotmail[dot]com, or add me on Skype: doctor-nerdrage

Not sure what else to put here.

Oh, and I have a friend who would likely be interested in doing some stuff, too.

Your skills will be needed much later in lager quest mods. Voice dialog comes in much towards the of the development cycle, as there isn't even a CK to build quests with yet.. I would imagine atm you are too early. In a few months.. and the years after... voice acting is in more demand.

There's more than quests where voice acting is useful.

There's character VO's aplenty, as a good example, plus factions, special NPC's, and other things that may be apart of quests, but not only for quests.

Plus, it's good to get interested people early on, so you can both quicken your side of the process, and possibly help in other ways.

@Miriandandes

Could you perhaps put up a youtube video with a wide variety of voice samples that you can do? Although I'm thinking of picking up TES modding (I've modded other games before) it won't be a while till anything is rock-solid after the CS is released and even then I'm sure other modders would love to hear samples of your work so they know what they're working with.

That sounds like a decent idea, I'll go ahead and do that sometime tonight.

Even so, until the CK is released there is no way to add dialogue in the game. We will be waiting until at least the beginning of next year (or very late this year if they want people to be able to do stuff during the Christmas holidays) until we get the CK. the Fallout 3 heck took about two months for them to release. I would check back in a few months.

I'm just using 'Quest' as an umbrella term for pretty much all that. It encompasses designing and building factions, companions, NPCs and levels. If I were to be even more generic I would have said designers. Anyway the point is you need factions, NPCs first.

And if you need 2 male actors (when the time comes), I have played a few dozen roles in Thief, Thief2, and System Shock missions, and the current version of Vegastrike.

I might simply create a master thread for those offering voice acting.

Yeah, that sounds like a good idea.

I'll begin planning the layout.
