Am I the only one that thinks that dragon audit sounds like Saruman on a giant dose of steroids? It's hilarious, but I'm thinking there should be a bit of a grumble in the voice - make it less human.

@Neo

The Lucius Aventum quest involves the connection between Dragonrest and Snowcrag Keep - I already gave Zinno the full lore on the quest itself and perhaps you would like to take a look at it too to get a good feeling on this character should he survive long enough to be in the 2nd / 3rd Chapters.

LOL, that made my day!!! :laugh:

No worries Budz, I'll get you some samples along those lines shortly. :thumbsup:

Also, what's the way forward with Lucius Aventum - am I going to voice this character or is someone else on it? Gonna send in some better auditions either way as the previous one was not all that good.

Alright, here's the script for the first quest- I couldn't figure out how to upload a document to the forum, so I just copied and pasted it on.

Q1

[initiate dialogue with Farengar with the book in your inventory]

Farengar: Yes? What is it?

1- I found this book in a dragon priest's tomb, but I'm not sure what it is- could you take a look at it?

2- I need a favour. Could you locate a place mentioned in this book?

Farengar [Response]:

1- In a dragon priest's tomb? Really? Hmm- set it down on the desk; I'll have a look at it after I'm done translating this part of the dragon stone.

2- My, my- in a bit of a rush are we? Very well, hand it here.

1.a- <Set book on desk, wait three hours>

1.b- I'm sorry- but this really can't wait, the information in here could be vital to solving the dragon problem. {Persuade}

2- Thank-you. I really appreciate this.

Farengar [Response]:

1.b, 2- Oh don't worry- it isn't really a bother. Some things are just too interesting to for aren't they? [Reads] Oh my... is this? No, no- not possible... all the same... Where did you say you got this? No, no- that's unimportant now. I'm sorry, I don't think I'll be able to locate this place for you- but I know someone who can. He's an old friend of mine from the College. Been fascinated with First Era archaeology ever since the College first began excavations at Saarthal. He's mentioned this place once or twice- Oduskol Dein -in relation to some lost city he's been looking for. I don't know how successful he's been, but if anyone can help, he can. His name is Lucius Aventum- he's a Breton, tall, short hair, neatly trimmed beard. Last I heard he was in Ivarstead digging about. Why don't you go there and see if he can help you with this?

Looks great so far.

Working on the Farengar dialect and making decent progress. I'll have samples for Lingar to you by tomorrow, but I'm going to toy around with Farengar's voice a little more. Perfectly mimicking such a recognizable character is difficult, but not impossible. A comprehensive understanding of his lisp is required! ;P

Molten Staff -> Hollowed -> Runed -> Sahrot'lah Empowerment

Light Armor:

Cloth Robe:

Molten Chestplate -> Linen Weave -> Runed -> Sahrot'lah Weave

Update:

Back on the chasm tube, I've broken up the mesh into 8 parts for more texture detail, am currently texturing it, then will put a collision mesh on it before putting it in nifskope.

Update2:

Alright... So apparently Redshawmodding was banned who offered to clutter the first two rooms. I don't know what he did, but I'm moving on. In light of this incident I'll come back to texturing the chasm tube in favor of cluttering the dungeon and adding a navmesh.

Thanks Budz :) That mace is looking pretty sweet. Here's the dialogue for the second quest. The third quest will mainly be Lucius talking while you walk through the barrow killing draugr.

Q2

Random bits of dialogue Lucius will say in the tavern where he's waiting out:

Just you wait Wilhem, once I'm done with my excavations Ivarstead will become a boom town for First Era archaeology- you'll see.

Damn Draugr- I hate those things! Just wait until I get another expedition group together, then they'll be sorry.

[You approach Lucius Aventum, who turns and engages you in a conversation]

Lucius: You! You there! You look like the fighting type- how do you feel about a little work?

1- Sorry, you have the wrong person. I'm no mercenary

2- What kind of work?

3- Farengar sent me to help you out. Said you were looking for a site dating back to the First Era- someplace called Oduskol Dein./i]

Lucius [Response]:

1- Ah- well, sorry. Good luck on whatever errand sent you here. *Mutters about finding a more courageous companion, or someone who's less picky about their work*. [Disengage from the conversation]

2- The adventurous kind. I've asked the guards before- but they always spout some drivel about their legs being too weak for such work. *Snorts derisively* I assume you can take care of yourself in a fight?

3- Farengar sent you?! Really? I haven't heard from him since he graduated from the College- heard he's the court wizard of Whiterun though; good for him. I'm surprised he was keeping tabs on me, I was only in my second year when he was working on his thesis.

2a.- Sounds good, what do you need me to do?

2b.- I can hold my own.

2c.- I'm not concerned for myself- I'll be looking out for you.

3a.- Well then how did you meet?

3b.- So have you been looking for Oduskol Dein?

Lucius [Response]:

2a.- Just follow me, I'll explain along the way.

2b.- Good, we have a lot of work to do. Follow me, I'll show you where we need to go.

2c.- A tough guy eh? I might not look like much, but I'm a College graduated mage and not too bad with a sword myself- I can hold my own. Come on, let's see if you really are all that you claim to be.

3a.- Well you see- Farengar's specialty has always been enchanting. The easiest objects to enchant are mundane, as they don't have to put up with much stress- weapons are the hardest. He was trying to create an enchantment that would take to a weapon, and hold better than any other. Only problem was, he couldn't forge for the life of him *chuckles*. I, on the other hand, was trying to figure out how to make magical objects from scratch. Stuff like staffs, scrolls, and spell tomes. I ended up helping him with the crafting, and we bonded over discussing magical theory. But that's besides the point- you said Farengar said I could help you locate Oduskol Dein?

3b.- Not exactly, I’ve been looking for a place called Dovahpraan, a massive city from the First Era which was possibly one of the few dragon-human settlements. There were other settlements, of course, but none quite like this. Until the other day, when I uncovered the chamber in the Throat of the World, it was my belief that Oduskol Dein was a waypoint before heading to Dovahpraan- some sort of fortress. Now, I'm under the impression that it was a shrine of the Dragon Cult that was used to hide the secret of the location of Dovahpraan. You see, most people assume that there were only two sides in the Dragon War- but my research indicates there was at least four. I'd tell you more, but I'm currently revising my theories based upon what I've discovered, and my journal- which contains all my notes -is in the chamber where my party was assaulted by draugr. I was the only one who escaped. Please- follow me, and we'll recover it all in no time. Then I'll be able to answer any questions you may have.

3ai.- Well, he said that if anyone could- you would be able to. Those were his exact words.

Lucius [Response]:

3ai.- *Chuckles* That's because I'm one of the few experts on the First Era that are outside of the College. Come on, the sooner we retrieve my journal, the sooner I can help you. Just follow me, I know the way.

EDIT: For some reason whole sections of Lucius' dialogue has been italicized and I can't seem to fix it. Sorry for the inconvenience.
