Alright ill show the best solution and it will work.

go into your skyrimpref.ini under mygames in documents. Ctrl +F find launcher and yourll see something like this:

[Launcher]

bShowAllResolutions=1

uLastAspectRatio=3

edit it to look like this:

[Launcher]

bShowAllResolutions=1

uLastAspectRatio=3

bEnableFileSelection=1

save and exit and it should work

Do exactly as he says about the ctrl f and replace in that location, mine would'nt load because I had it at the end. Thank you DarkoVaultTech

In ... C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Local\Skyrim

make loadorder.txt, plugins.txt and DLCList.txt all say the same thing

copy/paste ... run Skyrim. Fixed

patch reset your plugins.txt

I also after this was fixed, went to Steam and validated my Skyrim data.

Stopped all the CTD and freezes after patch. Running fine now.

this is Solution.

[step]

1.Delete the File in SkyrimPrefs.ini located in My document/MyGames/Skyrim

2.Find the Skyrim Setup Folder

3.Find the file in SkyrimPrefs.ini located installed folder

4.Open the SkyrimPrefs.ini

5.if you find or not, Add it like this
-----------------------------------------

[Launcher]
bShowAllResolutions=0
uLastAspectRatio=2
bEnableFileSelection=1

-----------------------------------------

6.Double Clik the SkyrimLauncher.exe

7.maybe you can see the Date Files click possible

Good luck.

  • 2 weeks later...

Yup, ive got the same issue and anything I do will not rememdy it. What's weird is that the SkyrimPrefs.ini file already had bEnableFileSelection set at "1" originally, but still wouldn't allow me to access the data files in the launcher. It's all jacked up, considering just doing a fresh install...I want to punch a face, but unfortunately mine is the closest one to me...
