CarlosCH1221
To fix this, go to Documents\My Games\Skyrim then open SkyrimPrefs.ini then add [Launcher]bEnableFileSelection=1 Add the TOP of the list. After that, it should be clickable now. bamsterdam
EDIT: Herp derp. I didn't realize SkyrimPrefs.ini was in TWO places. For those who are still having problems, make sure you're editting the SkryimPrefs.ini in your User\[Account name]\Documents\My Games\Skrim folder.Works perfectly now. yes that fixed it for me! +
NotOnLand
You need to add that line in SkyrimPrefs.ini located in My document/MyGames/Skyrim or something. I don't use win 7 so figure it yourself, pleasa:D). Look for the line:[Launcher]bShowAllResolutions=0uLastAspectRatio=2 And add it like this:[Launcher]bShowAllResolutions=0uLastAspectRatio=2bEnableFileSelection=1 Good luck. :psyduck: Worked perfectly! Now I can kill those blasted children!
aLxv1
I had the same problem as you but this did the trick. You need to add [Launcher] bEnableFileSelection=1 at the TOP of the SkyrimPref.ini that is in your My Games folder (C:\...\My Games\Skyrim), NOT in the installation folder!Goddamn launcher, you saved my life! I tried everything posted in this topic, and this is the only thing that made it work for me. Thanks.. Edited January 3, 2012 by aLxv1
Frenya
Guys, I could use some help, because nothing seems to work. I am working in the SkyrimPrefs.ini located in the My Documents folder. (I also tried editing the .ini in the install folder, but that didnt have any effect) At the moment, my .ini in the My Documents folder looks like this: [blurShader]bUseBlurShader=0[Launcher]bEnableFileSelection=1bShowAllResolutions=0uLastAspectRatio=2[Water] Different posts in this topic suggest different values for bShowAllResolutions=0uLastAspectRatio=2I have tried all combinations on this one, with bEnableFileSelection=1 as a constant. Does not work. I think I have tried all suggestions, but nothing seems to work (except from a reinstall, not sure if I want to do that yet). Any new suggestions? Im stumped on this. Any new suggestions? Im stumped on this.Only thing that worked for me is to place those lines [Launcher] bShowAllResolutions=1 uLastAspectRatio=1 bEnableFileSelection=1 above all the other ones, in the .ini located in "My Documents/My Games/Skyrim". The .ini file located in the installation folder has only "[Launcher] bEnableFileSelection=1" under all the other lines, don't know if there's a connection between the two files. horiizon
Hey guys ! I figuired out the problem for windows 7 users ! Make sure you change the SkyrimPrefs in your mygames directory (NOT THE INSTALLATION FOLDER). It is the same folder that you store your game saves. make sure you add the [Launcher]bShowAllResolutions=0uLastAspectRatio=2bEnableFileSelection=1 at the top of the notepad document!
