You need to add that line in SkyrimPrefs.ini located in My document/MyGames/Skyrim or something. I don't use win 7 so figure it yourself, pleasa:D).

Look for the line:

[Launcher]

bShowAllResolutions=0

uLastAspectRatio=2

And add it like this:

[Launcher]

bShowAllResolutions=0

uLastAspectRatio=2

bEnableFileSelection=1

Good luck. :psyduck:

Worked in WIN7,Thanks!

Yeh worked for me too, first i was in the appdata section under my profile name as i think one person suggested, and it was already there, the line... I had to add the lines to the um pfff forget, to make them show up in the data files section... Sry can't think of the name of the file, the instruction to do this was in the rwt - realistic water textures mod.

Thanks all for the replies, they helped!

btw an easy way to find the [launcher] section in the ini is to ctrl+f that mother, then just goto the end and add that line

Try setting the option to " 0 " and then loading the launcher. While the launcher is loaded, change it back to " 1 " and save the file. Then close the launcher, and then reopen it. Might work, might not. Let's hope?

It worked!! Thxx!!

I had the same problem as you but this did the trick.

You need to add

[Launcher]

bShowAllResolutions=0

uLastAspectRatio=2

bEnableFileSelection=1

around the middle or somewhere ( keep looking) of the SkyrimPref.ini that is in your My Games folder (C:\...\My Games\Skyrim), NOT in the installation folder!

I have a problem accessing the "data files" in the launcher where the mods can be activated.

I have already added the following line in both SkyrimPrefs.ini files but it is still greyed out.

[Launcher]

bEnableFileSelection=1

Who can help me with this??

U need to paste

[Launcher]

bEnableFileSelection=1

I have win7, this didn't work for me, also when I try to change it to "0" it says access is denied after I click save, I'm running as admin, also, I tried running in compatibility mode for xp to see if I could get any differet result, and got none. please please help!!!!!!

- Go to "...Documents\My Games\Skyrim\"

- Right click "SkyrimPrefs.ini" and open properties

- Make sure that "read only" is ticked off

- Open "Start menu" and in the search field type "notepad" (Do not click anything yet)

- Right click notepad shortcut and click "Run as admin"

- With now opened norepad, open "Documents\My Games\Skyrim\SkyrimPrefs.ini"

- Search for [Launcher] section and make sure this is

bEnableFileSelection=1

U need to paste

[Launcher]

bEnableFileSelection=1

on top...

That's exactly what you must NOT do. bEnableFileSelection is in there already, all you need to do is change 0 into 1.

... and make sure bEnableFileSelection is just once. Do a text search if unsure. Like if it was in 2 instances

bEnableFileSelection=1

....

bEnableFileSelection=0

would mean problems
