AbleGnome
This update hasn't replaced my TEV.exe, it's just got rid of it completely. So now clicking 'Play' on the launcher opens another launcher :/ Verify the files through Steam, Right click on game in library >properties>local files>Verify integrity of game cache. Thank you! I verified the files and all is well. Apparently the game re-downloaded, as I had to set my graphics again. But thanks for the tip.
superjeno
verifiying didn't work for me + no more LAA? no way. replacing with my pre-laa exe didn't work (code 51) ...so i used a " no dvd exe "... guess that should be legal since i bought the game... it now works. WITHOUT steam. period.sad that pirates get more joy than legit buyers... real sad.
Sindrie
i'm not having any crash problems but i'm utterly PISSED I got my hopes up thinking it would fix glitches rebalence thing and maybe fix the down falls of the game and it fixes grass angle and tree trunk hue???? "here at betheda we try as hard a as hell to patch seemingly useless things that no one cared about and laugh at people who can't start there game"..... It's already been said that the actual patch is being released a week after Thanksgiving. This "patch" has nothing to do with it. Ya I know i thought maybe they got it on pc early which is what always happened for fallout nv pc got one like a month before xbox.
isamu99
Does the FXAA Injector Mod still work?
LizardTa
Right I found a way round it, My mate had the origanal TESV file which works with the LAA patch, I transgerred it to my PC and replaced it with the new patched TESV file, then I set Skyrim to not update automatically. This will stop that piece of s*** update from ruining the HD glory that these textures bring. I have fast traveled all round the map with the origanal TESV and all is fine, I have added a lot of HD texture packs by the way! Its good job we both didnt update or it would all be to late. If you want the origanal TESV File send me an email to [email protected], ill send it as an attachemnt.
GreekIrish
We are now one step closer to the removal of true private ownership. Your games, your movies, and your music will soon be at the mercy of corporations. So say goodbye to your DVDs and your CDs, and say hello to streaming entertainment. Paying for usage, and not for property. Pirating is only a scapegoat for having control over you.
Tarm
@Schrii Ya I saw there was a fix for Esbern here but thanks anyway. :)If I get that far in the main quest with my new main before a official patch that fix it I'll use the one from here. Don't want to risk the chance that the fix from here will mess up the official patch.
BarefootWarrior
Heh, I'm glad I have been running with Steam 'off line' but just in case, I've backed up everything I can and I intend to start the game with my internet off line until I am sure Steam really is off line. None the less, I wondered if something like this would happen. I haven't started the game today, been a bit busy. But I'm glad I caught this topic before I did....thanks to all !
WorldShaperDragon
An explanation of why LAA does not work now: What happens is not that the exe disabled it, but the steam DRM is inherently incompatible with it: When the LAA bit is enabled, the exe you have does not match the exe they have. (well, the checksums don't match)
vertex23
I don't get it...Pirates don't even need Steam to run the game anyway...so what good would it do to update the Steam version to make it so you have to have steam to run the game...? Fail patch is fail at stopping pirates?
