CreeperLava
FYI, I added all the projects I uploaded to the spreadsheet. I reuploaded them all, even those we had not yet encountered through the pages, so you will come across some of them later. All of them are in the ME2 tab. Tarshana
That should not be a problem :) Hopefully you got enough sleep after all your uploading xD I am home today and I slept in. (cough). I have a giant mug of coffee and I am cracking my knuckles. ... Let's get down to business...
CreeperLava
Good (?) news : http://i.imgur.com/HxA5FpV.pngApparently they don't have a deadline to take down the projects, yet. I don't think we should stop porting to Nexusmods though, it will come sooner or later. I'm just glad it gives us more time to go through the 417 pages. Tarshana
For now it is good news but I do not trust them. I am just as cynical as you are. Besides, the project is a good idea to consolidate where all the mods are. Wait this is feckin stupid. THEY ARE ALREADY READ ONLY. What we need to know is how long people can still download! @#$@#$@#$@#$24@#$@#$@#$@ brb need to find whiskey
moho25
Gee, glad it took them 3 weeks to figure that out and let the community know. Also, note that they didn't mention blogs, DLC, Patches, or the DAO Toolset. Either way, I'd say the inventorying can and should continue. We now have time and can work at a slower pace knowing that the site won't be pulled down in October. With the forum closure, I think the time for projects will be coming to an end soon, though, and who knows how much notice they'll give us If and when that happens. Looks like i need to update the website :) Edited August 18, 2016 by moho25
Tarshana
Okay I finally understand the logged out vs logged in. Just in case, at any point in time, that Bioware's "read only" also means "logged out" I can safely put up the webpages on a private server for us to keep looking at. It will mean the same manual of typing in a page number, but we do have a copy. So if Bioware goes full jerk mode, we have a back up. We will still have a polite way of going through all the pages and making sure mod authors are contacted. Whew. That really bugged me for the last day. I finally had me cousin translate for me. >.<
moho25
@Tarsh -- What had you confused? My understanding is that certain projects require folks to be logged into BSN to view them. I *might* remember something about this when I uploaded ThaneMOD. Maybe. I also think Mild Romances might be categorized like this. So, at least for me, project count is 3964 if I'm viewing while not being logged in and 4170 when logged in :)
Tarshana
No, it had not occurred to me that "read only" could mean "possible log out" of the BSN Legacy because it has already been "read only" for 4 years. Anyway, everything is downloaded anyway so even if they did log us out, I have a master copy
AnhedonicDonkey
Is there a "Spreadsheets for Dummies" post somewhere I can refer to? I've never used them before and it's a bit intimidating . I've also got a couple of terabytes drive space left on my backup drive, if you need some extra redundancy. I have no idea how to use HTTrack to get logged-in only projects, but I'm willing to learn (I know tmp7704's projects are logged-in only, hate to see those lost). Thanks for all the hard work you guys have been putting in!
moho25
Is there a "Spreadsheets for Dummies" post somewhere I can refer to? I've never used them before and it's a bit intimidating . Just the instructions on the first tab. That doesn't explain how to edit the sheets though. It's not hard, but I do remember how intimidating it was... uh, 20ish years ago, lol. --Click on a tab to view that tab's content--Doubleckick on a cell to type text into it.--Navigate between cells with your mouse or the arrow keys.--If you need to re-edit a cell b/c you've mad a mistake, just click into it again and change the contents.--Use Ctrl+V/X/C to paste/cut/copy. Just select a cell by clicking on it.--Delete cell contents with the delete key For the most part you'll only be putting content into empty cells and not editing anyone else's content. Watch out for comments I might add in with questions for the data you input. If they say "RWR" at the end, that means to click "Resolve" after reading the comment, which will delete the comment. Don't close any comments that aren't directed at you, personally. That's about all. Not much to it  Edited August 19, 2016 by moho25
