Timmiii
Fallout 4 is just extra buggy, worse than F3 or Skyrim. FNV is the least glitchy, Obsidian did a good job with it. I would have waited a year on F4 and got it for a bargain had I known it was like it is.
Elathia
Well they are going to keep patching the game until at least Nuka-Cola World come out and is stable for the most part. And even then you will probably see occasional updates to fix stuff. So you all just have to put with it. Or stop using F4SE for now. And why does Beth have to give the F4SE team a headsup about any updates being released? Just so you all won't be inconvenienced for a day or two? Please..... And yes I use F4SE and I currently can't play either but I can live with waiting a bit. Man it really does get tiring reading all of the complaining whenever an update is released. Yet people also continue to complain about bugs in the game that they keep saying they wish that Beth would fix. :wallbash: If you don't want to put up with what's going on then go back and play Skyrim or something... Skyrim had the exact same problem.
bill8872
This is why I might stop playing until Nuka-Cola World is released. All the patchs seems to mess up my saves.

Honestly, Skyrim with a few optimization mods ran quite smooth and stable, unlike FNV which was a complete mess and I was never able to play smoothly for more than 2 hours in a row (and it's the game I played the most). But yeah, Fallout 4 has been quite the disappointment... hopefully they'll soon be done with it and let Obsidian make another proper Fallout RPG with the "new" engine. Except Bethesda owns the rights to the Fallout series, so that will never happen. Edited August 10, 2016 by bill8872
ginnyfizz
I don't remember any of them since Morrowind being patched as often as FO4 has been, it's one after another and most of the time has zero relevance to anyone playing on PC who doesn't use their rotten Bethesda.net for mods. I just got lemoned with another patch, my exe is now 1.7.10 so got to wait for F4SE and associated mods to be patched. It must drive the F4SE team nuts having to re-write so often. I will be patient...and go back to Witcher 3 and Skyrim...

Skyrim had the exact same problem. True but the difference is that many of those who are complaining most likely are those who played Skyrim after it was mostly already updated and patched and with many mods available that made the game much more playable and stable. For those people this is a new and frustrating experience. But still it gets tiresome listening to the constant complaining.
Linmor
Which mods are folks using that requires F4SE that cannot be disabled until it is patched? I have seen very few mods requiring the script extender so far.
chucksteel
I'm using a custom Left handed F4SE keybinding which obviously doesn't work without F4SE and I can't play the game without it but I'm also not one of the people complaining when the game patches and F4SE needs an update. StarMystyk
I only use one mod that needs F4SE. The achievement mod :)Updates don't stop me playing, though.
