Does No Man Sky not show up in game detection on NMM?

NMM doesn't support all games, various games have wildly differing mod install methods so it can't do it for all 370+ plus games that have mods here.

Folks the game performs way better with the new Vulkan API, can you folks do both versions while working on the mods, so people using Vulkan can enjoy your mods as well!

P.S. Before Vulkan my game was plagued with drops in FPS to the lows 10's. Now it won't go below 30 during really hard renderings, mostly during frigate missions and regularly in the tops 70's (RX580 8GB).

I doubt mod authors will be able to do that until the public release of the Vulkan Update. Depends how much time they have to spend on making multiple versions of their work, and keeping on top of changes.

This games resources are mostly math and scripting, so any scripts or code mod authors modify from beta Vulkan resources will still need to be updated from the final public release of the same resources so that they do not miss any scripted or code fixes HelloGames might do just before release.

Mod Authors could prepare an updated mod with beta resources in the hopes that what they use do not change, but they would still need to do a last minute check with the official release that the source files they modified ( before modification ) did not get any further changes, otherwise they might ruin peoples games.

Any texture mods are not so much of a concern. But math and code could upset the balance of procedural generation etc.

Surprised Vulkan has not gone public before now, but the unusually long beta testing period is probably necessary because its such a large overhaul and knock on effects in this game I would imagine take everyone a lot of time to find. HG obviously want it to be as good as possible before they commit to the other large changes to come in Beyond. That said, personally I haven't had any issues with the Vulkan beta's so far ( no mods yet, I will be using them after the game is finished developing and all mods are redone for the final game version ).

Does No Man Sky not show up in game detection on NMM?

The game IS supported by NMM (v0.70.11) but for some reason NMM fails to recognise the game's exe in the No Man's Sky/Binaries folder, even when setting the path manually. Maybe because the exe is called NMS.exe? Just select the path that contains the exe (there's also a launcher in No Man's Sky/Binaries/Binaries) and click the tick that normally turns green. NMM will tell you the folder has no exe and will ask if you are sure this is the correct path. Click OK and you're set.

NMM also gives a warning about not being able to find the PCBANKS/MODS folder when installing a mod, although the folders are there and the mod get installed as it should, despite the warning. This happened only upon the install of the very first mod. After that the warning wasn't given any longer.
