Hello everyone,

 

This is both my first time reaching out in a forum and modding anything. I played Skyrim the year it came out on the xbox 360 and really enjoyed the little I explored in the world. Just recently I got a better computer for programming courses at college and I decided to purchase Skyrim again and delve back in. I have been really interested in the idea of modding the game, and I would greatly appreciate any suggestions or tips for great mods or ways to make the experience smooth. I look forward to seeing what this community has created.

Coincidentally someone has mad a thread asking this as well: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/4769075-new-to-modding-skyrim-not-sure-what-mods-to-pick/

 

Check out that thread. If nothing past the first reply (which has quite a few mods that playing the game without would be a disservice to yourself) suits you then create another thread and ask... But honestly that thread should have everything a new modder could need. Just read every mod description page and use LOOT.
