Switching scrap mods

Been having issues with Spring Cleaning lately and since it hasn't been updated in quite some time I'm considering switching to a different scrap mod. Anyone know if this returns everything I've already scrapped with Spring Cleaning or if it has any other negative effects? And which mod would be recommended to switch to?

Scrap Everything has worked well for me and it stays updated pretty regularly, and lets you scrap more than Spring Cleaning. But you have to be careful and save often cause it lets you scrap everything but the dirt, lol.

I've never switched scrap mods during a playthrough but I would imagine anything scrapped will return after uninstalling a mod.

I turned off Scrap Everything because it was too powerful for my own good - I ended up having less stuff than I needed/wanted in place. It returned everything I'd scrapped though.

I'll probably go back to Scrap Everything for the next playthrough and just be more careful.

"Been having issues" is kinda vague... I've been using Spring Cleaning since it was released and never had "issues" with it. Have been using around 600 mods altogether in FO4 and currentky have 317 mods active of which 254 have a plug-in and no problemos with Spring Cleaning

Also, people somehow expect mods to get updated all the time, while this isn't necessary at all if and when the mod runs like it should. Most mods that are dependent on DLC or on another mod or even on game-specific content need constant updating when the game gets updated, but normally a mod works forever and a day.

I have mods running perfectly fine that date from late November last year...

I didn't mean to complain or accuse the mod author of anything. If they don't have time for the mod anymore, that's completely understandable. I just personally am considering switching because of the issues I've run into. They only started popping up around the time of the latest patch. Not at the exact same time, so I'm not sure if it's the patch causing it. A few days after the patch, about half of Sanctuary had all the leaves and junk on the ground reappear and I wasn't able to scrap it or select it in console commands. There's also one specific house, at the entrance of Sanctuary, and one specific foundation of a house that keep reappearing. Leaving the Sanctuary cell and returning a while later usually helps.

So everything will probably return if I switch to a new mod?
