Generally confused, mods not working.

Ok. I had a computer that played Skyrim with mods, no problem.

I gave it to my daughter. She has her own Nexus AND Steam accounts.

I bought her Skyrim on Steam so that she could play the game without trampling all over MY game.

Problem: and you probably can't do much with it: The DLCs on the purchased game are not working. I've written to Steam about this.

Problem: One mod is working, a texture pack, "perfect eyes". None of the other mods that have been downloaded are working. I have even gone so far as to delete NMM and reinstall, thinking it would rid the computer of the mods I had on there (which she wants, by the way). But, sadly, no....and I don't understand how they worked previously and now they don't work.

Does anyone have any clue what's going on here? She has been logging in under her own Nexus and Steam accounts and should, having PAID FOR THE GAME AND DLCs, at the very least, have access to the game. Of course she SHOULD be able to access Mods as well but I have a feeling they are in the wrong place and I'm not quite sure where to put them, if they've moved sometime between last night and this morning.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Bought it right off the Steam website. Before that, we did try a full reinstall of the game and that didn't work. And yes, I've checked the integrity of the files. 1 was missing and was reacquired (just like it was in my new laptop, and the laptop is working fine, except for CTD about every hour)

I assume you bought her the legendary version right?

If so have you tried a full reinstall of the game?

The game works. His mods arent working.

Mods not working is usually an archive invalidation issue.

NMM has a button for this. Certain lines need to be in your ini file.

Also you should always launch skyrim first before modding (to generate the proper ini files)

and the reaquaring one file is NORMAL......its the same for everyone it will always say you were missing one file.

If you have successfuly downloaded DLC .esm/.bsa files through Steam (steam/steamapps/common/skyrim/data) and redownloaded skyrim ini's, then this must be an issue with your mod manager. Try using Mod Organizer and see how it goes. Set it to always run as administrator and let it manage archives (one of the tabs above .esp order window on the right side).

Testing stuff with MO won't mess with anything that you already installed. Every mod you'll install with it will put in Mods folder and custom .ini files and load order list will be under Profiles -Default.
