indycurt
I don't know what I've done, but my game is shot. It is progressively getting worse. Weird stuff happening, no enemies spawning anywhere in the world, quests starting where they should then jumping somewhere else that has nothing to do with the quest, etc. I literally am playing in a world with no enemies. I just need to start fresh. I completed the game the first time, and this is my second play through. I haven't got a clue what has happened. Can someone please tell me the best way to uninstall and reinstall the game? What about my mods? What should I do with them? Please keep in mind that I am not a "techy", so speak to me at a 4th grade level please :ermm:. Do not assume I know anything about files, directories, ini files, etc. All I want to do is start fresh. I would so appreciate some help with this. Thanks to you in advance. JimmyRJump
Keep everything as it is and overwrite the old install with the new one, that way, all the vanilla stuff will be set to default without losing your mods. They will have to be re-activated through NMM, of course, but it saves you from having to physically re-install the lot. Best go easy on the re-activating. Start the game in vanilla (with the DLC active) until right before leaving Vault 101. Save there and keep a back-up of that save. Then add a few mods and load the save to see what gives. Keep adding mods as you go along while strutting through Sanctuary until you encouter a weirdness. It'll take time, but it's the only way to find out which mod is causing a conflict. Keep a "new" save before you add the next few mods so that you can go back to that save and re-install the mods you just added, minus the one that puts a weed up yer arse ;) I use a back-up of the game's unmodded Data folder I make after each patch, in order to be able to start with a fresh game to avoid having to do a new install, so, as time-consuming as it may sound, better do this too as it can save a lot of time in the end...
