Construction Set for Skyrim, where is it?

Funny how everyone but you interprets that as meaning Feb. Even the Skyrim wiki now says Feb "Bethesda has confirmed that the Creation Kit may not be made publicly available sometime in January 2012 as previously stated but in very early February" - http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Construction_Set

I guess we'll see tomorrow.

Well this is great. The schedule slippage begins. [joke]I'm pretty sure we all known who's responsible for this *cough* Valve Time *cough*[/joke]. Then again, if running on Valve Time makes Bethesda release an API that isn't a buggy mess for the first time in their history, then that's awesome.

I'm already getting kind of tired of this game....I'm not sure what the CK can add now. I want mods

to enhance my experience of the game...but I've already run out of new game experiences to experience. Could have

had a lot of fun with the CK a month and a half ago...but now it's kind of like..."eh, another playthrough

just so I can use (ck made) mods? I don't know." You can only play through so many times before it seems

like the only thing interesting in the game anymore is the mods.

Thats... Not what that post says? It says that the Patch is going live some time this week, and that the CK won't be far behind. That could mean the CK could come out minutes, hours or days (Or if you want to take things absolute, months, years, decades, centuries of even millennia) after.

No where, anywhere there, does it say anything about it bring pushed back to Feb.

They still ahve a about 30 hours to meet the deadline. Don't start making up crap.

They explicitly stated before that both would be out in January; now the CK is slated for some arbitrary date in the window of "not far behind" "sometime this week". I highly doubt that their switching to vaguer terms has positive implications.

I'm an anthropologist. We deal with interpretation on a daily basis. We also learn the meaning of interpretation. I interpret it as meaning, in all likelyhood, we'll be seeing it in the first week o Feb.

However, i am not so foolish as to make my interpretation out to be fact. Claiming Bethesda has said something which they have not is doing just that. Interpretation is not fact, and trying to dress it up as fact is idiotic.

Ah, thanks for explaining, now I understand your need to berate others to make yourself feel better.

You mad bro? :P

Does no one read?

That first link, links to a post that says nothing about February.

The second link, links to a wiki page. However, if you check the sources, you'll see that February is, again, not mentioned.

...

Something that may have confused you:

Skyrim's hugely-anticipated 1.4 update will miss its promised January release date on PS3 and Xbox 360, but isn't delayed by much, Bethesda has confirmed.

That is concerning the patch, not the CK.

The patches are always released later on the consoles because they have to be submitted to the console manufacturers.

Notice how it says "PS3 and Xbox 360", with no mention of PC?

...

Please, please, please, check your sources people.

So, holding people to a standard of evidence, rather than opinion, heresay and interpretation is me berating others to make myself feel better? I assure you, if i wanted to feel better, i wouldn't peruse forums. I'd probably go a a seminar or a lecture.

I correct people when they don't actually read their sources, or make statements with no supporting information, because its bad arguementation to do so. Paraphrasing, elaborating or fabricating are bad modes of conveying supposed 'proof', and i'm not going to sit by while people make claims which have absolute 0 supporting evidence and try to pass them off as fact.

Sheesh... reminds me of when a certain band held their fans on tenterhooks for a whole tour promising an album was right around the corner... still nothing...

And yet the fans grasp onto every shred of info, have a million different interpretations of it, then fight about it.

I hate speculative threads.

I'll take the high road here and retract my original statement and add "...we will most likely be waiting like a bunch of Cartmans until next month..." :D
