I've wondered the same, and think neither is appropriate. Why is a naked male chest anymore sexual than a woman's? I can only think that it's because we live in a patriarchal society.

Believe me, a hot naked male chest is just as likely to make me run into the car in front of me.

Well, it's out there and it's quite easy to "acces" it nowadays. Problem is, to many young people have acces to it and some damage their sexual life without even knowing. As far as I'm concerned, I'm ok with it, as long as no inocents have to suffer from other's greed and lust for money.

I have just been reading an article from the Sunday Telegraph magazine which says the same thing. Namely that it is skewing young peoples perceptions of how they should look (mainly they think that the girls should have huge perky breasts, unfeasibly skinny rest of the body and OMG female pubic hair MUST be eradicated at all costs), and also about what they can expect from their partners in the bedroom, and what kind of a performance they should put on. It is making people more scared of sex, not less, because they might feel that they are going to have to do something they are not happy with in order to conform to what they are made to feel is the norm.

@Simpson3k who said;-

"Number one in the ten commandments is : you shall not kill" Actually it should be "You shall do no murder", and it isn't the first. I'll leave it at that.

First I want to say that porn is like guns: neither good nor bad, unless it is used to harm others for personal gain. I didn't always feel this way. My first realy relationship (I was 18, he was 10 years older) started off great, then one day as we watched a porno together, he turned to me and said, "She's a lot cuter than you are." My self-esteem in regards to my looks wasn't the best, but it had been improving, until that moment. It really did my head in, and for years, I had body image issues and couldn't tolerate any sort of porn, unless it was written stuff. It messed me up badly for a long time. Not the porn itsle,f but the body images that arose from my callous lover feeling he needed to tell me that.

The irony is that nearly 30 years later, I weigh 100 pounds more (I was well within height/weight guidelines when I was seeing him, but he started harping on my weight too) and I feel better about myself than I ever have. And yeah, I'm trying to drop the weight, not because of how anyone thinks I should look, but because of my health.

Anyway, in the wrong hands, porn can be damaging. chances are, had he never voiced his opinions and had my own self-esteem not been so fragile at the time, my head wouldn't have been so badly screwed up over it t the time.

In the right hands, whether you're in a relationship or solo, it can be quite entertaining and even positive if you don't take it too seriously.

Include conservative or something to do with fig leaves into the mix... multi factors innit,

i mean i bring that up, not just cause im a guy, but i mean..equal rights and all.

the other point i wanna bring up, which i mentioned in my first post, is how come porn isnt considered prostitution. its ppl paying/getting paid for sex in both cases. one is just a legit business with taxes and one isnt, and i realize this is basically the answer, but ya.

Pornography has a long legal history in the US, I guess because in legal terms, it just isn't considered prostitution and has it own legislation under which it falls. prostitution isn't illegal everywhere either.

It's also logistically different... 2 (or more) people getting paid to produce a video in which they have sex, versus one person paying another for having sex with them.Otherwise, from the perspective of a person doing their job, the job is the same. It's an interesting distinction.

Porn hmmm ... that wasn't a happy "hmmm" or even a sad "hmmm", it was more of a sigh ...

As a teenager I couldn't "have" a boyfriend because of a over protective brother, who beat the starlights out of anyone brave/stupid enough to try and date me ... this left me

with a huge hunger for a relationship and actually opened the way, well more guided me towards getting a girlfriend instead.

One of the girls at the club I frequented told me of a certain lesbian female porn star who was simply to die for.

I checked her out and believe me she was sugar indeed ... (I wipe my heated brow as I speak).

Well anyway, I watched her give an interview and was stunned - naive little me - that all she could talk about was guys ... I sat shocked ... I felt betrayed and angry, very angry.

I told one of the older women at the club and she just luaghed, "Babegirl they're just in it for the money, I doubt that even 1 percent of them are really lez".

Since then I have come to realise that the Porn industry revolves around deception, money making and manipulation and of course exploitation.

Men I've discovered, are primarily turned on by what they see and hear ... this fact is exeedingly far greater than what most women imagine.

Now I'm in terrific shape but my boyfriend goes completely whacko if I parade around in one of my naughty little "schoolgirl" outfits than if I was naked,

and a quick follow up with the words "I've been naughty wanna spank me babe" gets his brain into a speed wobble.

No, I'm not being rude ... the fact is men are primarily turned on by what they can see and hear ... the one thing that turns me off about porn is the lack of genuiness

with all the oohs and aaahs ... hey, we all ooh and aah but they turn women into cheap lying little floozies ... then a guy goes home and sees his wife, girlfriend etc and

wonders what the heck is wrong with her ... um she's real and not a fake sweetheart, those women will moan if you spat in their eyes.

This "weakness" that men have, can't think of another term right now, is being exploited and is turning many people into multi-millionaires.

Sex sells and men are being burned everyday and so are their relationships ... another reason I frown upon porn.

My younger brother lives in Europe and has his girlfriend and 2 or 3 other girls (all from the former Eastern Bloc countries) are living with him in his flat and with no jobs being available,

these young girls are easy prey ... another reason I frown on porn.

Two of my inner circle friends invited me to join them in attending a Marriage/relationship "straight talk" seminar for women, I'm glad I went.

Picture if you will a television set that has a constant pattern in the corner from a specific channel, eventually they tell me that this pattern or image will burn itself into the screen

so that even when you change channels you could end up with that very same image or pattern still imprinted into the screen.

So too, this "imprinting" takes place in the mind of a man who becomes caught up with porn ... eventually he will not be able to have and maintain an erection unless he has the stimuli

of porn present ... some of these guys will have to watch porn whether it's a movie or images from a book "while" they are making love ... the ability to perform naturally will have been impaired because of the "imprinting" on their psyche.

This imprinting becomes even more binding and powerful when porn is coupled with the act of habitual masturbation.

Just another reason I frown upon porn.

Now this is completely different from the FACT that the depletion of the male hormone will also cause him not to be able to perform like he used to - it's not that he doesn't love you

honey, it's because a certain chemical in his body has run down because of age ... and the age I'm told can even begin in a man's 30's ... or his blood flow has been impaired.

It's like diabetes, or a common cold or flu or some other type of physical problem ... and just as you would take medication for those, so to there is now medication to fix this physical

problem to.

So don't make it an issue.

I'm really glad that I went to that seminar, I came away with so much info on men, women, intimacy and a lot of other stuff.

Porn is a thief, it robs you of innocence, simplicity and most of all love for your partner ... porn is sex for you and yourself.
