Crimsonhawk87
Dude, I'd just stop now....you've already been called out by 2 of the most respected modders on the scene (one of which you used in your "example" which was summarily disabused by said modder) which kinda blows your whole theory out of the water. Oh, and your funny little nicknames became old after the first sentence. Just some constructive criticism.
TheGadget1945
It surprises me why people get so worked up about this. Now admittedly I am not a modder, but I neither love Bethesda or hate them. FO4 is the first of their games I have bought and I like it a lot. There was a case in the UK a few years ago where a railway artist painted a train at a scenic location (I think it was Grayrigg in the Lake District). He was taken to court by the estate of a famous railway photographer for copying the photographer's work and the court found in the estate's favour.Even though it was a different train, the court decided there were so many unique items from the photograph (birds in flight etc) that the artist had basically just copied the photo and substituted a different train. That's how tight the law is.We all know how Apple have sued Samsung for copying their designs and some posters here have mentioned how Nuka Cola is copied from Coca Cola which it obviously is.I would imagine that Bethesda had to pay Coca Cola a fairly high amount of money to use their designs. cossayos
Sometimes I wonder if you're an employee. Not to say that the outrage is entirely justified, but your fanboyism is taking it to an entirely new level. Not only here but in general.

CiderMuffin
Who me ? Nope, I overlooked that there were several posts between CiderMuffin and you. That's who I meant. Nah I'm not an employee nor am I really a fanboy. I just see a lot of the whining just blowing things way out of proportion just to attack Bethesda. Honestly, a lot of the stuff people bring up are just extremely silly sometimes, like this entire thread. TummaSuklaa
Nothing new, they been doing that for years. The items show in the inventory when you hover over an object was a mod released in Skyrim, that Beth carried over to Fallout. Skyrim even has some systems borrowed from OOO. While it does feel a little.. rude of them to do that and it kind of reduces the amount of mod ideas to implement for their other games, it's their IP, they can do what they want.On the flip side it says that they don't think about certain things that should be in their games and it's only when a modder implements it that they are probably like "hey why didn't I think of that?" See, this is the level of ridiculous of the "Bethesda stole something from a mod" crowd. That idea is not complex or revolutionary enough to claim that a mod created said idea. My god, next thing you know people will claim they stole a specific type of tree or flower from a mod because they put it in a game. Wunderbot
The thing with all these "stolen mods" is... they're usually either mods that were based on Bethesda's work to begin with, or they're completely logical additions to Fallout. They're doing a Nuka Cola based expansion. How could they -not- include the one iconic outfit related to Nuka Cola? Same thing when the Vault DLC was apparently a stolen mod. Lots of praise to the mod creators who made such Vault stuff before the DLC, but how is it an even remotely unique idea to create your own vault in a game that has both a building system and vaults? And quit the Bugthesda already. It stopped being cool or funny the second time somebody used it. Edited August 30, 2016 by Wunderbot
