RaffTheSweetling
Lighting shmighting. I just want to be impressed by level design, and at the moment I am not. Link to some screens.
steve40
Edit: Funny comment on the page asking how big the mod will be. (3.5 GB) When's the xbone version coming out? ;P
zrovektor
Edit: Funny comment on the page asking how big the mod will be. (3.5 GB) When's the xbone version coming out? ;P That's the mess of it, isn't it? A PC only mod that is available on Bethnet but not the Nexus. Sounds like some kind of oxymoron or something. ArekkusuStorm
Heck, with all the flak they got from their mod contest I'm not surprised it's not on the Nexus. (considering quite a bit of the flak came from us) Edit: Whelp, guess I was wrong. Edited September 9, 2016 by ArekkusuStorm
Royhr
Ok here's a question? Anybody have any ideas as to who actually created this DLC? Since when does nVidia create mods? Wonder if the requirement to actually run the mod will require an nVidia GPU? Any non nVidia card will cause CTDs... :tongue:btw before anybody gets their panties all up in a knot I was joking... Didn't they make their first game recently to show VR technology or something (funhouse something)? Might becoming a thing. Instead of producing screenshots and video for promotion they make something you can take part in actively. I wonder if they collaborated with some modder (anyone want to get something of their chest) or got help by some dev from Bethesda to make this. Seems unlikely they wouldn't bring in someone with vast experience of the creation engine for such a important event. Nonetheless an interesting approach and sort of reminds me of the image Microsoft has been keen on projecting in recent years.
Wunderbot
More content never hurts, I suppose. Don't think I'll download it though, I fear it'll just be a playable advertisement for nVidia and the creators will have made no effort to make it properly fit into the Fallout universe, as evidenced by even just the name Vault 1080. tartarsauce2
in all honesty I wouldn't begrudge them the advertising aspect, it's painfully obvious yes, but that's exactly the kind of advertising I likeas a reversal, take "sponsored stories" on facebook, I'm still coming up with ways to make it backfire, I took to negging the pages and blocking them whenever I see a sponsored story or ad or whateveras for the level design, I looked at the pictures and it looks nice, it looks like something you might see in the real world (older building design not the hyper-organized stuff we see today) albeit I've only seen the screens and I think picture 1 and 2 are the same area or different sides of the same window - thus the area itself is actually pretty smallbut I don't mind this either because it's the cinematic techniques and design in regards to feeling when you see it that I'm interested in from them (they're a graphics card company) - even if implementation is "cheap" and kitschy - but then again I've not seen others focus a ton on it themselves so it's possible I'm overemphasizing their implementation but regardless, stuff - it looks exciting the way people liked the assault rifle from nuka world for resources :geek: hence why I said I'm willing to wait for others to tear the techniques apart and implement them themselvesI'd download it in a heartbeat if Nvidia bothered to upload it here, but I really don't want to go to bethesda's site for stuff, I don't mind giving money for stuff but their site attracts mainstream which is anathema to me typically
pra
Looks like a nVidia tech demo with maybe some alibi content. Meh, I'm not going to install anything from beth.net anyway, unless there is a way to download it directly and put it into the NMM.
Relentlessx757
The mod is less than 200 MB. Not even close to 3.5 GB lol.
