Astor1977
Should i use Settlement Keywords Expanded or Independent? Or both?
CiderMuffin
Only use one, they pretty much do the same thing iirc. I personally use Expanded.
Astor1977
Only use one, they pretty much do the same thing iirc. I personally use Expanded. May i ask why you prefer that one? They both look nearly identical, so i'm wondering what the significant difference is, if any. Maybe i'm just dense, but i didn't really see anything on their sites that would really make one stand out above the other.
CiderMuffin
I never used Independent so I guess my suggestion would be Expanded. A lot of mods tend to do the same thing as one another so it's not really that farfetched they aren't different.
bill8872
I use Expanded due to also using Homemaker, and that mod author has been keeping both up to date as best he can. In truth I only have two mods that use Settlement keywords. So if I would remove that requirement, and not screw up those two mods I would. JimmyRJump
Been using SK and SKE exclusively (for the simple reason I never heard about another mod that does this except for the SSEX one which has been defunct for a long while now). SKE adds it's own menu to the vanilla ones so that every mod that als uses SKE and that adds items to the game, ends-up in that SKE menu under its own sub-menu. Handy and keeps things overseeable... mkborgelt13
Are these mods even necessary anymore? One of the authors of AWCKR told me it is not needed due to one of the patches increasing the cap to ~60,000.

I still use it because I use quite a few mods that take advantage of SKE and I like the menu structure SKE adds...
bill8872
Of all the mods I have, I would say SKE is not needed, as I have about 20 or so settlement mods, and of those that do not use SKE, I have no issues using them. For Homemaker I am not use the the latest SKE version, since Homemaker had an update, and SKE overwrites the .esp, which has not been updated after Homemaker. I do know the settlement menu still has issues with mods that don't get updated with the DLCs, but so far I only had that issue with the Vault-tec DLC, before Homemaker's update.I am not high enough level yet for Nuka-World so not sure if it will be an issue. As far a AWCKR goes, without it the only place to craft armor, and weapon mods would be the Chem, and/or cooking stations. I have close to 75 weapon mods, that number is including Weaponsmith Extended. My chem, cooking station would be a mess without it. If you've let it, then simply re-install Homemaker and let that one overwrite SKE ;)
