I am not sure what files came from that megaupload link but you can get the old versions of these files directly from your computer. First go to steam\steamapps\common\skyrim then right click on TESV.exe. Select properties and then select the "previous versions" tab. After a moment a list will populate with older versions of the .exe file. Select one of them from a week or so ago. Then click on the copy button below. Then you can tell windows where to save a copy of old TESV.exe. I recommend saving this version in a safe place. Who knows what bethesda will do next. Then all you need to do is replace the new broken executable with you old working tesv.exe Second go to steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\data and find: skyrim-interface.bsa. Repeat the process I outlined above. After this you should be good to go. Also some people seem to be having problems with Vals crafting meltdown. If you have this mod you might try uninstalling it. I don't have this installed so I don't know if that will help. Doing the steps with the tesv.exe and the .bsa file fixed my install though. Good luck Edited December 1, 2011 by ChewieBacca
MrWobblytickle
Hey thanks for this it reverted me back to 1.1 but the CFF explorer program still won't work. It's a program I use to make Skyrim use more than 2GB of RAM. It just gives me an error now since the update and even now with 1.1 installed. I also use to have steam disabled by running the exe in admin and xp sp 3 but now if I do this I get caught in an endless loop and can't start the game. I can run the game with both being admin and using more than 2GB of RAM but then I can't store items in chests etc in game >.> This patch really screwed things up. I'm no computer wizard but if I was releasing a patch. I would test it first. I think it's time bethesda retired & sold the rights to TES to Rockstar as they make open world games that actually work. Bethesda + Steam = fail. All I want is to be able play the game in admin mode so steam is disabled and be able to make use of more than 2GB of RAM. Any ideas? Thanks :) Edited December 1, 2011 by MrWobblytickle

TMushS
What worked for me was to revert to old copies of the TESV.exe and the Skyrim-interface.bsa.... Running Win7 Ultimate so that worked perfectly. Thanks. Also, may want to do the same with the SkyrimPrefs.ini and Skyrim.ini to revert them prior to when the patch changed them. MooseFactory
hey there, I made the suggested changes, which fixed some of the issues... however, dragons are still flying backwards / wonky even after using the old file versions... Is it because I saved when I still was using 1.2? Any way to fix the backwards dragons?
