Elizinator
well, we all waiting months for skyrim to come out. we watched every tiny video, gnawed on each minute morsel of information they gave us. now, after 4 weeks of playing, i want my Morrowind back. skyrim is, to put it simply, the worst elder scrolls game ever released. it is a screwup on a remarkable scale. Having produced morrowind, bethesda's technique since then has been to REMOVE features, REMOVE content, leaving us with . . well, this load of crap. Fable 2.5. im posting here for one simple reason: posting on the official forums is impossible, due to frantic incompetence on bethesda's part. theyve lost a customer in me. the 1.2 patch cluster is just the straw that broke this camel's back. i know there are others that feel this way. im confident bethesda doesnt care; its just another one of the pack now. just another indifferent and stupid game company that churns out poorly-executed drivel. they might be the worst of them, because they USED to be so good. Pronam
Morrowind had its fair deal of issues as well. I'm expecting major issues with the savegames once mods are out however. Skyrim doesn't beat morrowind and no game ever will, it's much better than oblivion though and I'm fine with that. Look at it this way, you can't create the exact same gameplay as else you'll get people complaining it's boring. The other end is that indeed that they've moved to more fableish classic rush RPG with less fantasy, but that ain't a direction we can change. All you can hope for is a shivering isles like expension pack with more fantasy/strange parts like morrowind, Skyrim massively selling won't get them off the direction they go though. They want to game to be playable for a far wider audience and that works for them. They'll keep doing it. You ended up playing it for 4 weeks, that doesn't sound bad. Guss
If you don't like it don't post it. so many post that people don't really care. love other games go play that, true fans of the games love it even if it has issues or problems we wait and fix them when there is a chance. ( ALL! games have issues but this one people are making it a very very big issue. when most aren't. ) i dont think i ever seen a game made prefect and most of the time there isn't hundreds of post on one issue. we need to stop annoying the makers with the issues that i am sure they are aware of. let them relax and deal with it. what if it was you making it would you want people to do that to you??? my opinion.. Edited December 1, 2011 by Guss
Werne
That's why modders are here, to make the game more enjoyable. I for one am working to fix some of the stuff Bethesda forgot, or deliberately didn't put in the game (spears, calipers, hourglasses, other items and weapons, etc.). Instead of wining about what's missing you could learn how to mod and add the stuff you miss in your game yourself, since you can't get everything on a silver platter. Pushkatu
Well, that is certainly one way to look at it, but as far as I'm concerned I don't agree. It's still an amazing game, unlike any other made lately. It's a step up from Oblivion and it has a lot more potential and when I mean potential I mean in both games they kinda tried to reproduce a more realistic world as far as arhitecture and environment(compared to Morrowind, wich has a science fiction looking world) go and they've done it so much better in Skyrim. They've never really excelled in making a deep story(in recent games), but they are champions at creating open world games. So, while I'd like to have my crossbows and levitation spells back, I'm happy that I'm able to explore such a beautiful virtual world. There's also the CK, not many companies release such tools for their fans. Also, if I remember right, the last patch for Oblivion came with the expansion pack Shivering Isles, almost a year later? :ermm:
Ultimatepurge
Wait until construction set is out. This 1.2 patch debacle is probably because horrible planning on bethesdas part. I mean, what's the big idea about making a releasing a patch around thanksgiving? It's a huge american holiday, and peoples minds won't be on their work...
