moarmodsplx
Ok let me first say, I really really appreciate the tesnexus site. It makes it so easy to find and share mods and its free, just brilliant. But recently ive been noticing more and more popup adds on that site. I mean, now you almost cant click a button on the site and a window pops up with all sorts of questionable adds. When I first noticed popups on the tesnexus it just happend once after you loaded the site, but now it happens frequently while browsing the site. It has really started to become annoying, but not intolerable. UNTIL now... just got a messagebox popping up telling me I need to install somekinda driveguard program immediatley cause I have trojans??? WTF? If you havent got trojans before you'r certain to get it if you download that [censored]! I have no problem with adds, but this is getting to intrusive IMO.We all know it costs allot of money to keep up a site like tes, but come on, its getting worse than a pornsite
buddah
Simple solution is to become a premium member......all ads will be disabled. Depending on your browser, you can get pop-up blocker, ad blocker or run no scripts. If it is that bothersome, there are other sites that have mods for download.....but they usually have ads as well to defray the costs of keeping the site operational. Dark0ne
If you are getting more than one pop-under per session then you need to take a look at your cookie settings; many ad formats use cookies to make sure they're only shown a limited amount of times to each user, so if you're blocking them then the system will continually think you haven't seen the ad yet. I don't tolerate forced downloader ads and I encourage any one who sees one on the site to take a screenshot and post it here, or send it in an email so I can investigate further. Thank you. Storm Raven
Hah! I found it. Forgot I was supposed to take a screen shot though. Did you get my Message Dark0ne? Was the ad supposed to stay in the window or popup in a new one? Don't mean to bug you.
Dark0ne
Was the ad supposed to stay in the window or popup in a new one? Well...a pop-up by definition is an ad that has it's own window...so yes, it's meant to pop-up in a new one.
