stebbinsd
I've been using Spring Cleaning. I previously haven't installed the patches, since they take away a ton of glitches I like to exploit (such as quicksaving and quickloading in order to grind up a companion's affinity). However, I had to install them in order to get the DLCs, so now I'm working on Patch 1.5 However, Spring Cleaning is only partially working. At least in Sanctuary, it seems that only the buildings closest to the bridge can actually be scrapped. All the other buildings - including the one where the workbench is located - are exempt from scrapping. In fact, it seems that everything in Sanctuary beyond some arbitrarily-placed invisible line appears to be exempt from SC scrapping. The monkey bars and geodome at the playground? Can't be scrapped! All the leaves and grass growing in between the chunks of concrete sidewalk? Can't be scrapped! Even if those exact same textures COULD be scrapped if they were closer to the Sanctuary Bridge! Even using the console command "scrapall" doesn't help. It'll scrap everything in front of the invisible line, but nothing beyond it. This is really bizzare! What's going on? JimmyRJump
Have you checked in you Fallout4.ini that the line bUseCombinedObjects= is set to "0" ? The monkey bars and such were never scrappable with Spring Cleaning. Edited September 11, 2016 by JimmyRJump
stebbinsd
Have you checked in you Fallout4.ini that the line bUseCombinedObjects= is set to "0" ?Ok, first of all, why doesn't the modder just do his damn job? If his mods aren't accessible just by downloading and installing them, why doesn't he include INSTRUCTIONS on what else I need to do? This is asinine! Second, I looked inside my Fallout 4 folder. Fallout4.ini is nowhere to be found. I've found Fallout4.exe, but not .ini. The monkey bars and such were never scrappable with Spring Cleaning.Yes they were! I remember them being scrappable with SC! In fact, at 12:16 of this video, you can see gopher getting rid of the playground using SC!
Vormina
Try looking for Fallout4.ini under "Documents/My Games/Fallout4". Edited September 11, 2016 by Vormina
stebbinsd
I found the ini file. But the line bUsedCombinedObjects= isn't there.
Vormina
Type "bUseCombinedObjects=0" under the "General" section, should let you scrap more. I don't know about Spring Cleaning though, I use Scrap Everything and Place Everywhere, those 2 and the bUse line let me scrap everything but the dirt lol. Be advised, the bUse line disables the Precombined meshes on objects and can cause FPS lag if your comp isn't "beefy", especially in high traffic areas like downtown Boston. To more or less counter this issue, have a look at Hein84's latest release; Vivid Fallout - Roads & Bridges...
