thomsonSMG
I googled for solutions and was told that being a DX9 game, Skyrim can't see more than 4gb of memory. But how then do you explain 60fps youtube vids??? ENBoost did nothing. AutodetectVideoMemorySize set to false and VideoMemorySizeMb set to 8000. Same performance as 4gb. Please help me save my new card from being lemon. X_X ahem... I wanted to say 8gb.
Nozzer66
Are you using Windows 8 or 10? 4 gig is the max you can use with either of those OS's. It's not the card's fault.
thomsonSMG
Yeah. I've since done more research and apparently some people were trying to bypass this issue with Windows 7. Not sure if it even works for them. And duel booting just to fix this... if there is any chance of a better option, I'd holdout for it.
Project579
Win7 is not a bypass of the issue is the solution!
Nozzer66
My next machine (which should be built before XMAS will be a 10/7 Dual Boot.
thomsonSMG
Wish that compatibility mode works... or if there's a mod for it.
PeterMartyr
Well I am convince Skyrim is OLD it doesn't need a ENB it need a Skyrim Graphic Extender that uses Direct 11 or better. But I wouldn't hold my breath. Also I wonder what Beth did to Fix Memory Allocation in SE, if it still uses DirectX 10, then I wonder if WIN10 supports DirectX 10. Just Saying Anywho we will soon known....... And I wouldn't Dual Boot Yet..unless you want to play Oblivion........but that another story
thomsonSMG
Can't wait to see if mods are compatible with SE.
PeterMartyr
Can't wait to see if mods are compatible with SE. Rumor is that uses DirectX 11 so WIN10 users Rejoice Yes I left that Out in the other post
thomsonSMG
Yeah. It uses the Creation engine so it'd be DX11 but I want to use the Techtrachromatic ENB with it... I hope mod makers update.
