Does the DL page containing only a video, promoting the mod, but not any files till far, may be considered to be deleted by admins as "containing no files"? If not, where should be the video placed - under "Videos" or "Files" tab?

The link that you posted would have been better put into the suggestions forums, if you were wanting it to come to the staff/owner's attention. ;)

Unless of course you were just wanting to discuss it with other members. ;)

 

And in answer to your question, yes it would. We don't allow placeholder pages here. There has to be a working mod to go along with it.

So the thing to do there would be to report the particular mod, via the "Report" icon in the mod's description. After which we can take a look at it, hide the page, and then contact the author to see what's up.

Also, i think that It's a good idea to allow modders to place the trailer of their future mod(for limited time possibly) before they could upload the mod itself on the same page.

 

Hope clarification will not be needed on this.

 

PS Determine more particulary(?) what forums are for the "staff/owner's attention" and what for "other members" here please.

yes, they can upload video previews of their mods. Or upload pic images of their mods.

But, once they start up that page, a modder MUST upload a working mod within a reasonable amount of time. As an unwritten rule, we allow generally 24-48 hours from the time we contact the modder for them to have their working product on the site, or the page has to remain hidden from view, until they can.

Insure you upload a file for your file entry as soon as possible. Do not create “placemarkers” or “Work-in-progress” pages for files that are incomplete or you haven’t even created yet. If uploading a file will take a long time or you’re not ready yet then keep your file set to “Hidden” until you are ready. Do not deliberately create a file page without uploading any files just to generate hype or interest in your work; it will get you banned (uploading a text document with your ideas will not get around this issue).

Isn't it possible to adjust the filepage's category to Videos/Trailers before setting it to the one for your release if it contains a trailer of your mod? Or is that category just fit for tutorials?
