Dambuster
Despite what you may say about Skyrim you cannot deny that Bethesda made this game enjoyable by adding some really awesome places. Bard's leap is one I just found walking from Markarth to Riften (the advantages of not fast travelling!). It can be found north-west of Glenmoril Coven (where you get the heads for Kodlak) and is both truly stunning and contains a nice little easter egg. If you haven't gone there already I suggest going there to try everything out for yourself but in case you dont fancy that: Basically it is above a Forsworn camp and numerous things can be found here. Behind Bards Leap is a word wall where you will witness two Hagravens resurrecting a Forsworn then there is a the leap itself a wooden plank built out above a waterfall with awesome views and a 200ft jump into deep water. Complete this jump and the ghost of a bard will appear and sing you a song raising your Speech level. Anyone else found any particularly awesome places that aren't in quests and aren't Blackreach? exneph
Wait, there's a _reason_ to jump? You've just given reason for my character to continue jumping off of random ledges to the death.
BarefootWarrior
Interesting. I was there but didn't any any attention to the jump. It was a great view, but I moved on. I had a knock down drag out fight there with the Hagravens, but did not get the word. I reloaded that part and tried again, never did get the word, and I tried four time. so I figured it was a dud. Guess I'll never know now..oh well.
Dambuster
It's the word wall for the 'Become Etheral' shout in case you wondered. Yeh, I was considering not doing the jump and was pretty happy with this little easter egg.

Lanceor
How convenient that they put the Become Ethereal word wall right next to it. :)
xlr8films
I had a funny feeling when I was there that Bard's Leap was something special, but got distracted and moved on. Gonna make a pilgrimage there tonight. :woot:
immagikman
I found this place and immediately knew I had to jump, I hit the rocks the first time and reloaded, the second try I hit the water and then almost missed the ghostly bard. :D it was a fun little easter egg, I didnt even think to look here when I first found it...but should have known I wouldnt have been the only one to take the leap
SaintAnon
Yeah found this little easter egg the other day, had managed to make my way up there without entering the Foresworn camp down bellow so had to do battle soon as I hit the water. Had to reload and redo it once i noticed the ghost bard so I could hear what he had to say. Edited December 29, 2011 by SaintAnon
