vertex23
Lover Leveling past 35 starts to take a while...
CloudVvulf
I go for Lover normally. Sometimes apprentice for casters.
TSotP
i usually go a Breton and head over to the Lord stone. even if i'm a warrior. The combined 50% magical resistance and 50pts damage reduction is worth it reguardless of the slight costs.
BrknSoul
For my sneak-thief/archer build went Thief until I found the Lover stone. At around 40-ish (when I started to max my primary trees) I went with the Steed Stone. I think for my 1h-shield build I'll go straight to Steed, saves me a point in Heavy Armor. xaliqen
I almost always chose Thief sign in previous Elder Scrolls games. I find myself choosing Thief stone more often than not in Skryim.
OnlyOneWing
I typically just stuck with the warrior stone...But now that you bring up the Steed stone you've sparked my interest. I have had to drop so much loot due to being over-encumbered.
nitevision92
I used the Warrior till about Level 35 or so. Then I switched to the Lady, and have been using that stone since.
Thalassicus
The skill-boost stones make both us and enemies level faster, so it just makes the game shorter, technically with no impact on gameplay. I lean towards stones that improve combat: Warrior: Lord Stone for +50 armor and 25% magic resistance.Mage: Atronach stone for magic absorbtion.Thief: Steed stone for carry capacity and reduced armor weight (affects detection) Edited December 11, 2011 by Thalassicus
CalibanX
For my Fighting Orc character, I took the Steed Stone until I had amassed so much money that I no longer needed the extra 100 carry points. Then I switched to the Lord Stone. Both were very helpful. My current Mage Character is using the Atronach Stone. I like having lots and lots of Magicka.
