Keldrath
well, i can enchant a set of gear with 100% reduction to any 2 schools of magic i want making anything i cast in those schools completely free to cast. thats pretty damn nice. if im a thief i can enchant stuff with 45% sneak on 3 or 4 items and 45% archery on about 4 items making me able to crouch in broad daylight in front of someone and not be detected and one shot dragons with sneak bow attacks. if im a warrior i can effectively negate about 97% of all magic and elemental damage making me virtually impervious to any form of magic. if i want i can enchant gear to make uber potions and an uber smithing set combined with a potion from alchemy to make nearly anyy set of armor put me over the armor cap from upgrading and giving me super damage upgraded weapons. no. no i would not say enchanting is worthless. if anything it can make u a tad overpowered. perhaps even full blown overpowered. kevinwastaken
If you think enchanting is worthless you are doing it wrong. It is so not worthless, that it will in fact destroy any semblance of challenge in the game if used even modestly. I have to force myself to use it sparingly on my mage and not at all on my warrior. Grand93022
If you think enchanting is worthless you are doing it wrong. It is so not worthless, that it will in fact destroy any semblance of challenge in the game if used even modestly. I have to force myself to use it sparingly on my mage and not at all on my warrior. In a way that's the same as being worthless, I can be a near unstoppable killing machine without enchantments with just crafting alone. So adding enchantment on top is not needed therefore worthless to me. The only enchantments I tend to use are soul trapping and carrying capacity, but that's just how I roll.
