One handed combat

I have been thinking and I have decided that it would be great to have better one handed combat, I mean true one handed, no shield, not dual wield, no nothing!

I mean all I want is to have some bonuses for just using the one sword, like the ability to parry your opponents attacks. I mean fighting with just one sword and no shield is a style all of it's own in the real world, it would be great to be able to fight with just your one sword and be more agile and manuverable

Good Idea. An additional tier in One-Handed... 'Duelist' "10/20% chance to parry melee attacks while using only 1 weapon" Edited by Axeface

Yes ! I also hate to be disadvantaged in any way compared to one handed + shield and two handed weapon fighting.

Maybe someone can add high chances of making critical killing moves and/or higher speed bonus for attacks and parrying ? I dont know much about modding, but i guess these things might be possible to do preCK.

Thats block. We're talking about giving you a buff while only using one, so theres actually a reason to, if you want to play that way.

Yes that is block and not what I meant, my point is that people who want to play with just one 1 Handed sword will always be at a disadvantage to people who play with any other weapon combo, I want to change that.

 

Even something that would just allow people extra chance to dodge attacks entirely (like that light armor perk) would be pretty usefull and give people a reason to play with just one 1 Hand weapon

That way would probably be very easy to implement and still has the same effect, definately for it.

Duel or 2 handed would obviously still be slightly better, but with this you could play a slightly more defensive role without a shield, would be a nice nice addition.

Instead of being just defensive, why not something like, each subsequent hit deals increased damage / has an increased chance of critically hitting? I used to be a fencer and I know that the more you hit the more your target will wear out, thus allowing you to break through his defense
