mod organizer overwrite files

Another question:

 

When I'm running SKSE.exe (to test the games & mods), after I'll go back to desktop (and the opened MO), always creating a "virtual" SKSE folder in the "Overwrite" bottom folder (and I have the triangle "flag" error on the top right). Since I'm deleting it, the "flag" is gone.

Is this okay? (I assume, when I'll finished the STEP, it would be a proper shortcut to click and play the game, I won't have to doing this over and over again, right?)

 

right click on the overwrite and select create mod. name the mod something like "STEP Profile".

 

All your SKSE and other logs will go in there.

Another... "annoying" (funny) issue:

 

I installed the "Better Males" mod and since I wanted all my NPCs (males, females) to be realistic (nude, not with... brazilian bikini or so!), I picked a nude optional file... but I choose the wrong one (ErectVersion!) and now all my male NPC have... "hard-on" situations (looool) when I looting them!

HAHAHAHA!

 

So... can I download (again) the "FlaccidVersion" and MERGE it to the current active mod, to replace the... "difficult situation" of my males?! (HAHAHAHA)

 

Yes that should be ok. OR you can remove that mod and download the flaccid version and install that.

Also.... what's/where's the TRUE mods installed number??? In LOOT? (Where it says "Activated mods"?)

 

Because I don't want to go "too far" and install too many, I want to stop to 225... ('Cause I don't know how to MERGING mods, to reduce the mods' number in the list).

Right now, in my MO left panel - which I haven't finished STEP yet, I have 4-5 to finish), I'm counting 230 mods. In LOOT, says less (installed and activated)... Probably a lot of them are mesh (or other) replacers, that's why so?

 

Your plugin count will usually be lower than your mod count. Max number of plugins game can load is 255. You can have as many MODS as you want. I have seen people with up to 900 mods no joke lol.

 

Textures and things like that typically dont have esps.

 

Mods that are adding content to the game have esps.

 

Mods that are just textures or scripts will not have esps....usually.

Yes that should be ok. OR you can remove that mod and download the flaccid version and install that.

 

 

Removing/reinstalling is the BEST option (for conflicts), but longer process - I know that.

I'm wondering if I "just" merged the new option file with the current would be fine... Well, a test won't hurt anybody!

At the bottom of MO in the left pane is a search bar......type the name in the search bar and MO will tell you where it is in your list...the priority number. Just make sure you type the correct name meaning the one you named it during installation...probably the default name.

 

Convenient when you have a LOT of mods and dont wanna look through 400 mods trying to find something.

 

You can do the same thing with your downloads and plugins....

 

Im a member on the STEP forums too but i rarely post there. The people at STEP are very smart tho and the vast majority of what i know i learned from STEP guides.

Also... due following STEP guide, I made FOV changes. That's okay, but I don't like the new feeling, that in 1st person camera view the camera REMAINING in 1st person even if you die, craft, making "KillMove" or so!

I want to change it to default (I liked the 3rd person "forcing camera" change, in some situations). Any help on that?

FOV doesnt really affect kill moves. FOV is just "field of view"

 

I would imagine that is a setting in the mod "Violens" which is a kill move mod. Check the settings in that and adjust it to your liking.
