Norgar
Okay so I've tried browsing forums and searching google to no avail thus far.Tons of people have issues it seems with CTDs when trying to load their game...however for me it's the opposite.. I can load a game just fine but everytime I TRY TO SAVE it just CTD on me. I've tried quick saving, letting it auto save and manually saving the game myself. All of them cause a CTD Game was having zero issues 2nights ago..but last night a friend convinced me to get some mods to improve the games quality (look wise) So I got the 4gb mod along with a few mods to bring things to a more HD level. Played all night with no issues. This morning i start up the game, play for a bit and then decide to save. BAM CTD.. Okay.. lets try that again, welp same thing. I've since removed ALL mods and still cannot save. Anyone out there have an idea as to how this can be fixed? I saw threads regarding grid7 but they all seem to revolve around loading issues. So before i messed around with that, thought I'd check with the community here first Thanks, ~Norgar *Edit* I've also tried [New Save] Edited December 10, 2011 by Norgar
maboru
Something got corrupted so this looks like another case of log in to your Steam account and verify your cache. First though delete your my documents ini files in case one of the mods changed them.
luthienanarion
Something that usually works in Fallout: Load your save, then die and let the game auto-reload. Then save to a new file.

You sir or madam have saved my game completely with that tip..It was the only thing that actually worked for me...though the whiterun guards didn't like it Thank you very much for the tip that killed half of whiterun. Finally i can leave town!!
taitai907
I had another solution. Everytime you start your game, reload a save, any save and that should solve the issue for that session. It's always worked for me in other Bethesda games.
