Do you mean like making the environment have physical edges and include gameplay similar to Uncharted or Assassin's Creed?

That would be cool...

Although, I think the more likely kind of climbing to be implemented would be the Crysis 2 "pull yourself up a ledge" type of climbing.

I like the idea either way, but the mod author would need to figure a way to climb ledges or formations a global change as Skyrim is huge to rework the entire game bit by bit.

I support this mod.

i know its been a while since someone has posted but i think your idea of "pull yourself up a ledge" type of climbing could actually not be as hard (idk i'm not a modder) everyone thinks. i mean if you could jump and hit the activate key after you jump ,or just standing, you could pull your self up it doesn't sound hard but maybe it is as i said before i'm not a modder

I think a system like in dishonoured would be great. Pressing jump when near a flat ledge would pull your character on top of it. IF the camera movements were made the same, it would negate the necessity for first person animation, making it easier for the modder perhaps? That all depends on whether he/she wanted to put the animations in in the first place i guess.

That's a great idea !!! I remember someone did something like this for Oblivion (it was an uncomplete work, anyway). It would be amazing to have it on Skyrim !!!!!

Supporting this mod ;)

Me too I can't wait for climbing like Assassin creed ability to climb wall or mountain to get through the caves in Skyrim mod.

To be honest, this would be absolutely amazing, although I think adding Assassin's Creed style climbing might ruin the game's style a bit. Vaulting over objects and peksy terrain, I'm all for, and I think it should be pretty simple. All you need to do is setup the scripting for it and the animations. I think the animations part would be the easiest. Speaking from personal animation experience, although not with the same game, all you'd need is several hours and the actual will to do it. After you've passed those, it's easy. Once the scripting is done, set the two up, and boom! You've got yourself a little trinket that makes your character look less stupid :P

You may not be aware of this, but a mod already exists for climbing. It's called "Simply Climb". https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/88289

Funny enough, animations are what it DOESN'T have. Some modding I can do, but animations is something I have zero experience with. If you actually have experience with animations, Simply Climb is in desperate need of a climbing animation.
