dragondovahkin
Ok modders and Fans Whats the point of the new Skyrim Remastered in PC for us PC users??Whats the upside for actually acquiring the new version of skyrim??I mean we already have access of ALOT of mods already that make it look like its remastered in the first place.I just want to know if getting it is worth the hassle. I know its free. Thank you
Nevieth
The main thing about the remastered version is the 64-bit update. Skyrim currently is a 32-bit game and thus can only run on about 4GB of RAM and just seems janky and old. With the remastered you'll have much more stability and performance increases, plus it will keep the game alive even longer. Anyone have anything else to add? SSE will have its own creation kit (CK), with an archive facility to convert old bsa's and esp files. it will be a case of unpacking BSA.s and repacking and saving out with with the new CK. The bsa's in SSE have different headers etc. I saw a post on another site which I found interesting. But no doubt more will be revealed on release of SSE and the new CK. http://afkmods.iguanadons.net/index.php?/topic/4633-skyrim-se-things-to-know-when-converting-standard-mods-to-sse
LeddBate
Okay, I'm placing this notice in several of the "What's with Skyrim Remastered?" type threads as it has some up-to-date info from a trusted source. Brodual's new video answers a LOT of questions.
