Do mods for Special Edition work for Legendary Edition?

It would be a big NO. If you have to ask this question, please presume Skyrim LE and SE are 2 different games, for your own safety and well being.

can someone pls help me to fix ctd crash in sse. i cannot load into save game looks only autosave, when i press continue it said some mods is not availible do you want to continue, i press yes many times before it works just fine. when i go into my autosave, iam stuck in breezhome and i cannot get out unless using console command. pls i need help

So im new to using this site, and mods in general. For some reason, out of the the 74 mods ive downloaded off of recomendation and popularity... only 1 can be enabled for skyrim to work. Almost all the mods are saying they require an extra 5-15 pre-req mods and seem to need SKSE. i have the Special Edition bought off of STEAM. Ive recently learned SKSE does not work with Special Edition. So my question is this:

 

How do i get the mods that work with Special Edition without having to go through THOUSANDS of mods by trial and error. Also, do i seriously have to download ALL the rquired mods listed in these. Some are rediculous, such as " Scaled Skeever Tails".... all i want is the texture overhaul. LOL.

 

Any tutorials or recommendations on mods would be greatly appreciated.

Do mods for Special Edition work for Legendary Edition?

I imagine SE mods will have dependencies that LE does not have which will affect how the mod appears/functions in game. It would be best to ask the creator of that mod directly have they have a compatible version for LE so you don't have problems in game.

I'm searching for a mod compatible with SE that auto generates random full scale invasions where there are troops defending territory anywhere on the map. For example random invasions on Whiterun from stormcloaks invaders etc

 

I recently downloaded The Lost City mod to try it out and realized whats the point in having a lost city if I can't have fun defending it. Hmmm the possibilities.

 

There is a mod already that allows multiple followers but how about an army for full scale invasion or defence purposes.

**Might do some more research on that too actually.

 

But yeah if anyone knows of an epic mod that does any of the above please let me know I am keen.

Hi, I am going to try to keep this nice. because after two days and I mean all day. I have been trying to get vortex to work. closest I go was to the load area were i could redo my player at the start. the next thing is when she went to the block here hands went in front of her and here head was stretched. did this every time. after a bit of messing I got to get back to the setting up part. but my mouse would not let me click on what I needed and also enter when I was done. so I could not get past that part. I did follow the instructions to add skuse64 to were they wanted it fist time it did work. I also added fins like they had and it worked. no error messages.now skui. had always been a problem and cbbe body slide. would show up in my files but not were i could move them were I could Fnis plus RaceMenu stops working. when I get one thing fixed another acts up. now after doing some things i am getting the error note 1 telling me skse64 not working and then fin and then race so on. So when I do what you tell me. I got it. but it is not working and to me i am very upset. because all i can do is play games that i cannot get working again. I hate when You pay for premium and then the site tells me to not ask them but to ask here. I really wish some one lived in my area who knows how to do this, I am getting tired of uninstalling and redoing it all and getting no were.

You need to take your Vortex questions to Vortex part off this forum.

And there you have to give more information about your problems so people can try to help you. In Vortex there are a lot of help and explanation to get.

If you vave certain mod problems you have to show us your load order at least.

Did you read any off that? I have used Vortex for over a year i think with no problems what so ever managing over 300 mods for Skyrim SE.
