yk0520
Found something unusual in the Delilah-Mojave MD mod. In the main folder (DelilahMMD1V7FULL---->Data) in addition to the mesh/sound/texture folders and the esp file is another data folder. Inside this is a texture folder and a second esp file( also named delilah.esp). Any idea how this is installed , which .esp to use or if the texture folders should be combined. or should the extra folder be deleted?
dubiousintent
Don't have that mod, but usually that is due to the way the archive was poorly constructed. Most mod managers expect a simple package structure to have the contents to be placed under the "Data" folder. So the package should NOT contain a "data" folder at all. When it does, then you get "Data\data" like you report. The lower "data" sub-folder does not actually get read by the game, so at the least it can be deleted. However, first you should check what package has that structure (open the archive in an appropriate tool such as 7Zip). If it is a patch file, then you should drag the contents from the sub-folder up to the parent "Data" folder. In general it is best to repackage the offending archive to exclude the extraneous sub-folder so you don't need to worry about it if you have to re-install the mod. Another common packaging error is to have the mod contents in a folder named after the mod (i.e. "<ModName>\Data\<files>". Again, this won't be read correctly; the "<ModName>\Data\" path needs to be dropped. Only sub-folders that exist under the "Data" folder (or the mod needs and creates there, like an INI folder) should be in the package. There are exceptions to this general practice, but they are specific to particular mod managers, and are generally labelled as such (i.e. FOMOD). These are considered "complex packages". -Dubious- Edited October 26, 2016 by dubiousintent
2much4l1
The author acknowledged the mistake. Just delete the extra folder. Outstanding mod by the way :).
