rinoaff33
Edit: Well, since the website decided to cannibalize my post after attempting to edit it and turn it into a paragraph-less wall of text, my post has been emptied. Anyway, to contribute to the topic, I will again state that my least favorite game was Battlefield 2. Bad hosting system, bad lag, bad cheating problem. Ranokoa
Call of Duty: Black Ops..... Now to dodge the flame and make the angry eyes go in agreement.... ARCADE! You bore me. Kino, your MP40 makes me look like a zombie killing / dodging God up till round 20 when I need to replace it. Five, you're awesome elevator helps me annoy people I don't like. Ascension, I've played you once at my sister's house. There is a reason I never bought you, you're too short and weird. But I don't hate you.. Call of the Dead: One day, my pretty. One day I shall afford to buy your soul. FORGET ARCADE! Be well, sleep well, fight well, play Kino.~Ranokoa Edited July 8, 2011 by Ranokoa
Dastardlybob
oh one little note i did play WOW when it first come out years ago........ also they took money out of my account for 6 months after i cancelled it , never got my money back ............ <img src='http://thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/starwars.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':starwars:' /> it was like fighting the dark side......... Indeed Blizzards conjured beast does its job well haha. Its like a power sink for money...and lives lol. I wonder how long it will really be before the guys at Blizzard really do run out of ideas for "expansions" and the game finally dies. Years maybe? Even more so, the hottest thing right now seems to be MMORPGs, I personally couldnt care less about them. Im completely happy playing against bots on Unreal Tournament 2004 haha, same with Oblivion, Fallout....pretty much every game I have. I see adds all over the internet for free MMORPGs and crap like that. Im hoping its just a fad, you know like Tek-Deks (those stupid little finger skateboards), but I have a feeling Im wrong lol. A bit off topic but whatever happened to games like Mech Warrior? Starsiege? I LOVED those games and now they seem to have gone extinct :( I love MMORPGs. There's just not very many good ones out there. Guild Wars is a good one though but it ain't free. It's hard to find a good free one that won't end up becoming completely based on "pay for power" style business.I've seen many good MMORPGs die because of it. Also I hope WoW dies, it ruins people's lives. I'm thankful I never played it. Feel sorry for a friend of mine who played it for a few years. He finally quit after the latest expansion though. Kuraikiba
I'd say as far as games I have played, I'd say Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly was the worst.I happened to like the first three Spyro games, so I decided to get a demo of the fourth. I was thinking it'd be great. I was quite wrong. I had it a week, a week too long. The game was laden with excessive bugs, to the point of seeming a half-baked beta, had corny dialogue, wild fasciculations would occur on every imaginable part of any given character's body, the graphics were either corny or embarrasing for a game of the PS2 era, and it seemed tremendously stilted. Let me expand, however, on things. We will start with graphics. Other than polygon's sharply stretching to infinity for no reason, blurry details, very low poly formation, and pathetic formation of the JPEG quality gfx for most everything, the graphics were fine. Now for story. The story I barely got into, mainly because little could be approached as real story. Many inconsistencies and nonsensical pieces existed haphazardly for no reason. Next is gameplay. Other than the fact you can swim through air, completely defy collision physics, and SOMEHOW be catapulted several thousand feet in the air due to improper collision, the game is nearly bug free. The gameplay was boring and repetitive, and the fact you could be waiting 30-40 minutes for a level to load was insanity. As well, nothing is appealing when nothing works. The framerate dips wildly from a couple of frames a second to over 120 frames per second, at random. No game has ever been that bad to what I have seen. Now, for dialogue. The dialogue is corny, stupid, and is possibly the most stilted, wooden dreck to be uttered in a near "Microsoft Sam" deadpan monotonous voice at times in history. Without getting too worked up over the sheer atrocity of this, I must say that it is the one demo I greatly regret getting for how bad it was, but am thankful for to remember not to buy any games from the series again. 7 days, and I found it pointlessly awful. ziitch
You know, the more I think about it, the worst game isn't that it plays terribly, it's the kind of impact it puts upon the industry. The biggest trend for some games right now is to satisfy everyone in an entire genre or multiple genres instead of trying to strike out for itself and gather a small, dedicated, and sustainable group of people that like the game first and then let it grow by itself - Think about it, do you as a player of a game feel that special when you have a game that has 120 million players compared to, say, 6 million? It becomes of moment of "yeah, everyone else did too" instead of for the latter one person knowing what you're talking about and the other people having no clue about what happens in that game. So yeah, games that negatively influence the industry are the worst games.
hoofhearted4
i loved C&C 3 and RA3, but you said compared to its predecessors, and i started with Generals, so idk about the earlier games. havent given C&C4 a try yet, but i doubt i will, heard a lot of bad things about it. :/

Deleted472477User
Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor. Boring, never-ending combat, no real story to speak of (in my opinion), slooooooow as hell (If you could make your characters run, I never figured out how) and worst of all, when it first shipped it had a bug that erased your entire hard drive when you tried to remove the game. There's an entire list of bad games over on Something Awful, which make for hilarious reading. I also highly recommend The Angry Video Game Nerd, and the Spoony Experiment for more entertainment :D MMORPG wise, no WoW isn't the greatest, but i have fun anyway and at least they charge you up front as opposed to nickel and diming you to death for better gear, etc. But I HATED Ultima Online. I hate games where if you drop your stuff, enemy players can rob you. That and the out of control PvP. Second Life. To me, it's nothing but paying real money through the nose to get enough stuff you can't use in real life so other players will deign to talk to you. I'd rather pay my flat fee of 29.95 (I use time cards for WoW) and get stuff I can't use in real life) :P Runescape. Uuuuuuuugly game, overcrowded, and boring. Perfect World. I liked it at first, but a timed quest for my fox girl to get some stupid bloody amulet by jumping up to a wall with twitchy controls made me almost smash my laptop in frustration. I stopped playing pretty quickly. I hate JRpgs, but that's more personal preference than them being bad games.
